This will begin my own project. I am also interested in helping Gemini out in Persona 2 IS.
This is fun. I had no translators for over 9 months, and, including you in the project, now I have 3. xD I guess Innocent Sin will be my next project on the to-do list.

Cool, hit me with an email when you're ready =p

Just a quick curiosity question.  So from my understanding this is a patch for the American game right?  I do not have a copy of the game so I'd like to make sure on which version I should be eyeing up for a future purchase. Thanks.

The patch being here, from Me and Grey, is put on the US version of game. But it is better to have both versions Wink

1) I have never beat Persona, which mean I am translating a game I have little knowledge of. I have some knowledge because one of my best friends is a Megaten freak and I watched him beat Persona and he talked a lot about it (which is why I bought it). Persona deals with some twisted stuff; even with a fluency in Japanese it is not easily understood (which means good practice for me).
I have a friend who's on a huge Persona kick right now. I can ask him if he'd be willing to act as a consultant if you want.

I know at least 4 people on this site (me included) who are major Majin Tensei freaks, of course the man you really want to talk to about the specifics (not sure if he is willing to help) is Ghideon Zhi, as he is in my oppinion the ubermensch when it comes to SMT related topics.

That said for translation purposes anything that needs cleaning up, any basic questions, anything at all dealing with names, particularly of enemies or deities I will be more then willing to help where I can.

And yes, I know Ghideon is working on it, but I have still been working on Majin Tensei for what seems like 3 years now.

I'm a megami freak myself. I just love how the games ooze style! Can't wait to see this one completed.

Don't know if I could be called a freak, but I am a _HUGE_ fan of SMT as well. But unfortunately, I don't think I have the time to help. Undecided\

Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing this translation done. Wish you luck Smiley

Or maybe not. There were no technical progresses at all in over a year.

But it wasn't cancelled either. Wink

I posted this corey of this thread, and I will make the offer to Grey, if he is serious about this, and a true translator can be found (not just reinsertion of the script) and by serious I mean, you know this is going to take a long time, not a week.  Then I will be more then happy to lend my efforts, in full, and take this on as major project.

I do not clearly say when a project is dead, so that people will start forgetting about it instead of complaining. So, if you don't see any news from me in a while, consider it dead and buried for good.

I'm going to be a wise ass and say you shouldn't announce projects you're not going to finish. Then you won't cancel them and give people a reason to complain. Tongue

The project would have been finished several months ago if my translator didn't disappear, that's why I announced it. I *was* sure it was going to be complete. That worked for Dracula X and ToP after all.

So, was that the only reason for you to abandon the project? I mean, if a translator suddenly appeared out of nowhere and offered to translate the rest of the script, would you consider working on it again? Roll Eyes

Because from what I've seen on this thread, there seems to be quite a lot of people willing to help on IS... even if they take the retranslation of the first Persona as a priority.
