I have begun learning the basics of romhacking in hopes that I can eventually somehow contribute to this project. I have materials to study the katakana, hiragana, and kanji. A few years ago, I had studied my way through the hiragana, and partially through the katakana, never touching kanji. It could take me up to two years or more to become fluent enough to work on proper translation. I am willing to focus on whatever aspect of this project I'm needed in, but from the last few posts, I can't tell exactly what IS needed. It sounds like both translators and hackers are needed, so I'm starting with basic romhacking, and devoting some time to relearning the basic Japanese character sets as well. I SINCERELY want to help with this. It's a shame that Gemini released such a beautiful patch that allows us to bridge the gap between Revelations: Persona and P2:EP, and here we are ignorant of the real story contained in MIP. Sony made mistake after mistake rejecting these gems from U.S. release, and a complete blunder trying to localize MIP. I, for one, would LOVE to be able to play each game in the series confident that I know the story as it was intended. I know I have a lot of material to cover before I can be any real help, but, believe me, I'm covering it. If anyone working on this would like to provide me with a specific focus then feel free. Until then, I'll just be over here casually learning what's what...
