Well if you look at their wiki it seems they are almost done with both projects. Right now it seems they hit a snag what with one of the romhackers moving. As long as I get dq3 before 2k10 I will be quite happy... Hell I would still be quite happy if it took longer just not AS happy Tongue

Thank you so much for this. I am playing DQ3 right now with the DeJap patch, and its OK. But half of the text and menus are gibberish. I cant believe I will get to play DQ3 on the Wii, DQ4-6 & 9 on the DS and then 10 on the Wii. Again thank you so much for taking the time to translate this awesome game.

Wow, looked at the wiki today and DQ3 has 3 things left to do on the todo list, i'm guessing that means it will be out soon. Can't wait to play DQ3 in english, keep up the great work DaMarsMan!

Don't get your hopes up TOO far.
Mars man is completing a move as well as working on another project.
Also those last 3 things can sometimes be the biggest pain >_>.

Not to nitpick or anything. But, is it possible to make the female main character sprite look a little more female?
There's really not that much difference between the two. Tongue
If not, I guess I can when the time comes. I'm really looking forward to playing this. Keep up the good work. Grin

I'm not sure about this, but I think those sprites are uncompressed and easily editable under Tile Layer Pro or Tile Molester. The female hero looks femenine enough in the remakes though, I think.

In the original there was no female hero you just put your gender in as the players gender not the character.

This is going to bring back some memories. I've been wanting to play DQIII for the NES but have held of so far for this. Say what you want about 3 warriors as your party members, but man, I loved that back in the day.  Cool

I don't think that even to date, another game has replicated the charm of hiring generic old NPCs as much as DQIII did.

Hmm, I don't consider them NPCs actually, since at any given time, you put one of them in front. Actually, I liked how you could hire soldiers to fight for you in DQIV. :3

BTW, who names their party members after their friends? I used to but lately, I am afraid of the attachment and friends are always coming and going.... O_o

Only when I’m forced to, and even then, only when I’m feeling a bit spiteful >:3

(witness: BRP, Cat[thing/boi], Steve [who escaped being “creepy magical girl fan” because he doesn’t actually piss me off ever, and because of a character limit], and FATSO, warriors of fate!)

Back on topic here, I fixed recall/forget spell and I have got items arranging properly when using alphabetical option. We are getting damn close. Final revisions underway.

That might be a push but definitely before the end of February.

Awesome DMM! You and your team rock! Can't wait to play it. Take your time on it, squash bugs, whatever.
It's going to be a quality translation.
