ooh ooh i have a question for the previous poster:

Did you try removing the header with NSRT or whatever?

Only one of the roms had a header, and yes, I used NSRT as well as SNESTool.

Same problem occurred.

EDIT: Well, doing nothing differently than before, I somehow magically got the game to work.
So...uh...I guess good job?

Alright, I have to ask this.

Am I the only person who can't get this to work?
I've tried three different Roms, four different emulators (one of which I tried two different versions of), applying to an unheadered ROM, applying to a headered ROM, and redownloading the patch twice.

I just don't see what's going on. All of the clean ROM dumps work perfectly in all of the emulators I used (ZSNES [ver. 1.51 and 1.30], SNES9x, BSNES, and some emulator called SNESGT).
Basically, the game either: A)Goes to the splash screen and then freezes, or B) skips the splash screen, goes to the title, and then freezes there.
Has anyone else had problems like this?

I have had a similar problem to this, only in my case it either gets to the splash screen and then freazes or doesn't display the splash screen and then works fine until the end of the story intro at the begging of the game.  And yes I have tried removing headers several times and unlike the other person it never magically fixed it's self.  What emulator where you using when it finally worked saldite?

I think the problem with mine was NSRT...

When I used SNESTool to remove the header/patch, the game worked fine in every emulator I threw at it (ZSNES, SNES9X PSP Port, BSNES).

Try not removing the header, and then patch.
It's a possibility yours already doesn't have a header.

I started from scratch and got a new copy of both the game and the rom, scaned it to see if it had a header or not and then patched it.  It is possible that before I just had a corrupted rom or something, if I remember right I got it from someplace that seemed a bit shady.  But it's working now, guess I should have done this in the first place :/

hi, i have been playing DQIII for some while now with the RC1 patch on my PSP perfectly for a long time but now im in a quest (something about a mirror of truth) where sometimes the game just freeze. i have been waiting for the new release but i wanted to know if those random freezes are common in this RC1.

Weird thing is i was playing like 25 hours trought the game without any freeze and then this is starting to happen.

Haven't got any reports like this... If you are using savestates try to save with SRAM and reboot the game.

I haven't had any problems with my PC freezing up when playing DQ3 and I have played it from start to finish. Might be a PSP thing?

Beta testing is going on but I'm not getting any bug reports... I'm not sure if that's good or bad.

I can't really tell unless I get a savestate or some detailed report... That's about as vague as saying "it's not working"
