I'd love to see a group who focuses on cleaning up long forgotten or stalled incomplete translations. Several of the Fire Emblem games could really use it. Although I don't think I've ever heard of any FE2 translation being attempted even as a proof of concept... Undecided\

I can not freakin wait! First game I ever beat was dragon warrior 3. I don't like the gbc graphics so this will be great.

Well don't worry, most of the people who replied that they like the gbc version better already beat the gbc version. I myself have been waiting for this translation to play dq3 again. So know that you have a guy rooting for you and someone that will use your translation as soon as it finishes!

I've been looking forward to this translation ever since I started following 'the scene', so when it finally hits, I expect to be playing this for a very very long time. ^_^

(I've been following 'the scene' since before RPGe finished FF5.  Whoaaaaa, man.)

I'm so excited for this. I'm by no means a graphics kiddie but the sound made the GBC version unplayable for me. I'm glad someone FINALLY is stepping up to the plate to finish this after so long. No more checking the rpgone forums every other week for updates! Really appreciate this effort.

I'd still like to take a whack at Record of Lodoss War on the SNES.  :'( That was shaping up to be a good game from what I could make it through.

I too am glad to see Dragon Quest III, even if nothing actually comes out of it the interest is cool to see. That was a very addicting game for me, though I recall in the original I just hired 3 warriors and steamrolled through the game.

I am so excited for this translation! I remember playing the first one on the NES when it first came out and I was hooked ever since. I actually prefer the NES version to the GBC version for some reason though, its more quaint. Anyways, this should really turn out to be something great!

Also, to the person who said that they were retranslating Dragon Quest 6, is there a website for that translation so I can follow their progress?

Don´t let anyone discourage you; I guarantee that a vast majority of gamers would prefer an SNES-version over the GBC-version any day. Sure, it was impressive for a GBC game, but I do not believe that ANYBODY who is willing to play through DQ III will prefer the GBC version if he has the choice. It´s not a bad thing to have better gfx, sound and more text; all these elements add a lot to the experience, while a bonus dungeon is usually a lame addition not many players ever care to finish.

Do you have any idea when you will release the patch?

I'm very glad to see that this project is going to see the light. I tried some time ago to play DQ series in chronological order, but I didn't want to wait and played DQV before III and IV. This is a priority for me, so I won't start any other rpg until this is released.

And thank you very much for all the hard work, hope to see some news soon!

I am super excited about this as I have been waiting for this game to be translated since DeJap was actively working on it Tongue DQ is my favorite series and this version rocks. I'm actually currently working on figuring out the map data and stuff. Great Job and I wish you the best of luck.

Quality over quantity.  Wink (With the ironic exception of this post)

I think the naysayers at the beginning just ended up bringing all the lurkers out of the wood works so the voice of the majority could be heard, because I know a lot of people that don't even come on this site have been saying they wished this would see a translation. Pretty sure it's safe to say the vast majority of gamers, RHDN or not, can't wait to see this.
