To be honest, the only name change in all of Final Fantasy that annoys me is Final Fantasy IV's Gilbert/Edward, and that's mainly because I'm a consistency fiend (Legend of Mana features a character named Gilbert who is an obvious reference to the FFIV character, species aside).
There's also the annoying fact that Edge's given name is Edward. Meh. |

i couldnt care less about the kefka vs cefka issue, but its good to know the official translators are aware of the fan-translation-scene. who made the offical ff6a translation, anyway? very cool joke, btw.  |

That Orthros getting left as Ultros in FFVIA despite appearing with his proper name in FF:DoS, but it doesn't annoy quite as much. Actually, they're both wrong, but "Ultros" is closer to the truth.
