A simple recolour isn't going to make it all that easier to read, in all honesty. (And by that I mean it's 'better', but still pretty difficult to read.)

The bottom loop of the ‘g’ got moved out of position.

And the only thing that made the first version truly a pain to read is the color.

Can someone help me to create a title screen for the game Wanpaku Kokkun No Gurume Wārudo?
I know how to insert the graphics but I don't have the skills to create a tittle screen.
I have tried and here is my attempt:

Original version:

Thanks!

Press your emulator's screenshot button so you can take a direct feed screenshot in the right resolution (256x224).

And also provide the English title you want to add.

I would recommend PNG over JPEG for most 8/16-bit era screenshots. While not bad on your pic, JPG can really noticeable smear the colors for low color depth consoles.

Original:

Translated:

(I have tried; I know is bad but I don't have the skills to draw something beautiful...)

The english titles I want to use are this:
Naughty Little Billy in Gourmet World - for the american name;
Naughty Little Kokkun in Gourmet World - for the japanese name.
Can someone help me?
Thanks!

Edit your post and embed the images, imageshack allows it.

Changed the subtitle to "Underground Amusement Park Murder Case".

I really wanted it thicker so I could do the effect the titles for the episodes have, but there's not enough space.

Changed the subtitle to "Underground Amusement Park Murder Case".

That's an accurate translation, but it sounds a little stiff IMO. Here are a couple of alternatives:

"Murder at the Underground Theme Park"
and
"The Case of the Underground Theme Park Killer"

The easiest way to make space for a bold font would be to lose the word "underground". You'd lose a little accuracy, but it would definitely streamline the subtitle.

Also, is there any particular reason for displaying the Japanese so prominently? The English title gets kinda lost, I think.

It was there in the original and I just left it.  There is is removed above.  If you were talking about the actual title, that's how the games, anime, and manga have it and I'm not planning on editing it.

If I tried for the effect I wanted, each letter would be roughly 10x8 (currently 4x8 for the top and 4x6 for 'Murder Case').  Trying to get the words thicker would also look pretty ugly in that small space IMO.

I would put the kana in the ribbon and the English text outside, because it's nearly impossible for me to read the English text even at this size.

So a long time ago, I did this.

Kinda crappy in retrospect. People have been asking me again when Death Note: The Kira Game is gonna be done, so I thought I'd take another crack at the title screen, this time a little closer in style to the original:

To be honest, I never thought I'd pull it off. :3

I don't know what the original looks like, but did it have the note book behind "The Kira Game"?

Why the removal of it if it was there?  Makes me kind of curious.

I like the note book due to the ties with the series, but that second title looks really good overall.  My only criticism would be 'The Kira Game' is larger than Death Note.

The second logo is closer in style to the original Japanese version. Originally, I just got lazy and, rather than trying to replicate that crinkly border, used a notebook graphic from elsewhere in the game and cut it down into a suitable subtitle box. Then I went back and decided to make a better job of it.

The new version is MUCH nicer, good job.
