Never heard of fraktur you mussels?

I find it very readable and think it fits really well, actually.

Anybody want to try this one?
The game is Masked Ninja Hanamaru.
Limitations I see is: the yellow color past the 16-pixel border is drawn as a sprite.
Green and blue are in separate palettes (and thus can't be in the same 16x16 boundary), but red can be mixed with either.
However, the yellowish color can't be mixed with anything in a 16x16 boundary.
Thanks.

Something was bugging me in my first version so here's another one (better I think):

Strange, the new one's not showing up (at least for me).

Edit: Whops, there it goes!

That'd be because he named them the same thing. So he accidentally deleted the other one.

The new one has italics while the old one doesn't. He didn't overwrite the file, the paths are different while the file names are indeed the same.
I personally feel that the new one is better. Now it just needs proper holes in the As. Just compare the A to R. Usually the hole in R should be only a slight bit bigger if, not like that.

So you want him to improve his A holes?

Anyone willing to do a title screen for Monty on the Run? Just one logo all in english and no japanese. I would like to pay homage to original Monty game for C64.

Looks good Smiley

It looks like the title screen will be the most difficult part to hack, but nothing's gonna stop me from hacking that sucker.

As this is hopefully down to the last few hacks, I thought I'd ask if anybody wants to try this one:

Just to show that the crest in the background is a sprite, and not part of the tile data. The background, however, is part of the data (though the title initially shows blue against a black background, before it switches in the background palette).
I'm thinking a little title "Deep Dungeon II" and "The Hero's Crest" in big writing below?
Thanks.

What's left to do, I think, is to work on the proper ending, as well as fixing up the option to import a Deep Dungeon 1 save.
(I may need to do that separately. AFAIK, no emulator will allow me to swap games without auto-resetting.
So, I'd need to paste DD1 as a second disk to DD2 (a fake two-disk game) and hack that. Then merge the edited DD2 program file back into the main hack.
Hopefully, it's just tediously adjusting a few pointers.)
