Um...what's wrong with Barret's eye? Tifa looks...off. And Aerith has chubby cheeks.
I tried remedying these problems... I hope it worked.

More new RS shots:

- New Equipment Icons. Watchya think?

- I edited the kanji that read "Skill" to have an 8x8 pseudo-VWF effect.

- And I've edited some of the magic kanji as well. Not all finished though, and I'm not looking forward to fitting "Illusion" in one 16x16 character. >.>

Can't you use the normal font routine and expand them somehow?

I like the Glove and Boot but I think they could use more white.
They seem to have a different style and stand out.

I mean something like this but with a little more work  Wink

Eh, probably. The thing with RS is that I've got a very large amount of 16x16 kanji that I can work with that isn't used for anything except the dialogue. But there's also the 8x8 routine for dialogue as well, so I planned on going with that. So why not use the 16x16 to my advantage? Plus, everything that I changed was actually stored that way in the ROM itself: "Skill" was stored side-by-side as was "Defense".

Also, Demon000, if you want to send some edited icons my way, be my guest. I do agree that they do look different than the others: I'll let the artist know and see if he can do anything with them.

I've been having this on my HD for almost a year now, I wanna finish it up. I got a story for the hack, I gotta edit some other gfx like items, and a few knick knacks...

Looks like the level palette data is hard coded, I'm not sure but I'll check more into it tonight... ^^;

And for those who don't know, this is a Binary Land hack.

technically, you should have zelda instead of the links awakening chick. though i can understand, i mean did zelda ever make an appearance on the original gameboy? also, i'm curious, what exactly is the attack method in this hack?

Zelda was too busy being kidnapped to appear in Link's Awakening, so Peach did.

The point of the game is to maneuver both characters to a set spot in the map so they can escape. I believe there's no way to attack the spiders, but I could be wrong.

More BoF1 GBA font time!
I bolded the font and removed the shadow. Then I further edited the font so that it'd look nicer.
This is the result:

I'll probably be keeping this ROM for my personal copy now.

Zelda never made'a cameo in Link's Awakening, the method of attack is spraying. All I did to Marin was a small orb where the spray comes out, while Link uses his small shield to spray, I gotta change the Link sprites so it'll  looks like he's holding a can, and the same with Marin.

I'm also done with the item graphics, and I finished the title screen. The title screen is a little iffy though, cause you can't change the text with a hex editor on the title screen, and somma words are shared. I still gotta get back to the level data palettes lol! ^_^'

EDIT: This game is outta hand fellas, the level palette data is in two parts of the ROM. Here's what I got so far...  :banghead:

Lesse if I can figure out the rest tomorrow... ^^'

I hate structs. Especially if they are done like...
stuff, stuff, stuff;
short Line1[19];
short Line2[19];
even more stuff, stuff stuf;

And strings on stack are evil, too.
And it has to be done for every string type...

Good job though. Apparently that's how Mother 3 is too.
