Farther. It works up to somewhere in the first trial of case 2.
Ah lol, I might have the wrong version of the rom or something. I always get there and it glitches up(Plays some glitchy music). I use VisualBoyAdvance 1.72.

Make sure you didn't patch an already patched rom. If you can upload your save file, I can find out what's happening at that spot.

I'm almost ready to release the next patch. All the psyche-locks for case 2 should work now, the script should work mostly and I just have only two graphics left to translate. One is a news article with a picture and talking about the theft. For the other one of them I need the right font, though: Does anyone know what font this is? (It's needed for the L:'Stop' option for Psyche-Locks) Here's the graphic that needs to be translated.

Why not just use the a different font instead of trying to figure out what font was previously used?
In Phoenix Wright, the word use was 'Stop' if I remember correctly.

Thanks for the stop button, Rai. New patch here. Everything in case 2 translated up to the final trial of the case. I just need to play through the DS version to get the fullscreen answers for the final trial. If you play this patch, look for problems such as repeating loops that may occur, and of course any overflow problems. Overflow is hard to determine for me using pointer skip methods in investigations because it handles the pointers in memory differently from the court cases, and so is easier found with a play-through. Also, usually on loads, the background is not reloaded for some reason. The best solution so far is to simply move to another location and then move back. UPDATE: Patch 00h1 includes all fullscreen answers for case 2. Continue to look for loop errors and freezes in the investigation cases. I should be able to locate problems in the trial portions of the case.

Pretty good but found one fatal error in case one. Late in the case after the judge says "Go on, Dahlia tell us how you met Phoenix" or whatever at the end of one of the presses, the game glitches up when it goes back to the cross examination. Another thing is some sounds seem to trigger blank text boxes. Also are you planning on putting the English "Take that!" and "Objection!" graphics in there? Also, are you planning on putting in the English voices? If so that'd be very cool.

Rai, I need to know which press you're talking about, as I just tried out pressing on the section '-- How I Met My Feenie --' and couldn't find a glitch. The sounds aren't triggering the text boxes, it's my fault that those text boxes appear, since I used a counter to make the two-line text boxes, so it would go from line<b>line<b>line to line<b>line<p>line. The problem is that sometimes the DS script will say line<b>line<b>, which will go to line<b>line<p> <--Giving a blank textbox. I could write a program to check for <p> or <p>] at the end of each line and remove it. Yes, I'm planning on putting in the English graphics and sounds if I am able to figure out how to do so. I'd also like to change the RYU on Phoenix, and possibly change Larry's work uniform to the way it is in the English version as well. UPDATE: New patch here. I tested a bit through the first investigation. Most of the <35 codes seem to be removable to prevent problems.

"(Ah! The Court Record! I think I can see that by touching the Court Record Button...)" should be changed to "(Ah! The Court Record! I think I can see that by touching the R Button...)". Also "(The Court Record... OK, let's take a look!... etc" should be changed as well. Edit - found another bug: The "Select" text is halfway off the screen.

What about "(Ah! The Court Record! I think I can see that by pressing the R Button...)" That's what I meant to write. Also, some of the section titles, like '-- How I Met My Feenie --', need to be centered properly. Edit: Here's a graphical bug - it occurs right after you win the first case. And here's a savestate: http://www.fileden.com/files/2006/11/27/428255/rightbeforebug.sgm

For the select button, I'm not sure why it's being cut off. The fixed 'press the R Button' will be in the next patch.
For title centering, I'd like to find an easier way to do that, since it's difficult to determine without changing it, going into the game, changing it again, and so on. It should be in ccscript.cpp, but I'm not sure how the coding works. Maybe someone can check that out?

Here's a small typo (the space after the parenthesis): Also, I've been wondering are the actions supposed to look like "cough" instead of *cough*? Is that how the DS game does it? Looks strange to me. Edit: Here's another small graphics glitch (the dash on the side of the pic, also the star looks sort of funny):
