I know I'm going to feel really stupid for asking this, but what other game translations have you worked on? I can't remember them right now.

She's just a translator (that is, if you assumed by "translating this game" she meant she'd be doing the hacking, not saying that "Oh, she's just a translator." Translators are the most important part!). She's working with Gideon.

I've seen her do various little translations here and there, but I'm pretty sure the only person I've seen her work with alot is Gideon. I could be wrong.

It's for reasons like this that Satsu's proposal of database storage of credits for those involved in translation projects will be implemented in RHDN 2.1. We will then theoretically be able to pull up Eien's profile and it will list all projects she has translated the script for. It is unfortunate that the translators of our community currently do not have adequate means to be cataloged and put on display. The hobby is already thankless enough, even if you are in full exposure of the community! The translators are equally as important as the hackers.

Eien has done a number of projects.  She's done the script for the upcoming Emerald Dragon SFC/SNES translation of mine for starters. She can list her credentials far better than I. Suffice to say she's been around for awhile with an outstanding reputation amongst hackers. Wink

I wasn't suggesting anything! I know she is one of the super active and really good translators! I just slipped up on remembering which ones

thanks nightcrawler, I actually did try to see a translation profile but no dice.

and again, I knew she's done a lot, so don't misunderstand me. She also does a TON of non gaming stuff that I'd seen on her blog.

Well, that's what I get for being new to the crowd. I kinda got the feeling that she was a good translator, but I didn't know exactly how good.

I've done quite a few game translations, a lot of which are unreleased.  Here's a brief list from memory:

Ancient Magic (SNES)
Emerald Dragon (SNES)
Karnov (GB)
Miracle Girls (SNES)
Dragon Scroll (NES)
Nadia (Genesis) (WIP)
Night of the Forget-Me-Nots (PC)

Honestly, I tend to do more of the lesser-known games because I don't like all the pressure of high-profile projects.  And yes, I've also done a lot of non-game stuff. Smiley

oh yeah, miracle girls, I remember that now, I'm terrible with people and names etc. I know I've seen someone around but I can't remember what from, I think that was the first one I saw.

Emerald Dragon (when it's released) or Night of the Forget-Me-Nots.

I can't believe someone here actually reads Black Lagoon.  ^^ *Blushes*

I wish the damn editor would hurry up, though. :/

That's what editors do. Procrastinate. Hence my official title, here and in ATT.

That said, I can't believe anyone doesn't read Black Lagoon. Or watch it, for that matter. It seemed perfectly well executed in anime form, rarely enough. Rebecca is probably one of the best female characters in years, and the series is just damn fun. In that sort of campy action movie way. Though there's more to it than that, of course.

Eien, i was wondering how good does the script look like to be?

i've been waiting for this game for many years, and i would just like to hear if it is called the masterpiece of SaGa for any reason... thanks in advance.
