Fooling around with Chrono Cross' font rendering:

Now it's a lot faster, uses real sprite mapping (instead of direct font caching) and projects an actual drop shadow. By the way, it's not the US build (which doesn't come with a built in VWF, that is).

Me and Esperknight figured out how to find 8086 asm pointers with a game called Aiza. Here is a screenshot of some repointered text.

Yar, Maten Douji. I had originally thought that I could do three lines with the original spacing, but I'd have to get rid of the top/bottom border to do that.

Keeping on updating this mess:

Now I see why those lazy bastard at Squaresoft never bothered to program a decent VWF into this game and just half assed it. :|

I've decompressed FFVI's World of Balance overworld tiles, replaced them with Final Fantasy IV: The After Years overworld tiles and recompressed them.
This is the result.

Why square ... why must you add Mode 7 to everything...

Why, Zeemis? Why must you try to shoehorn FF4 into FF6?

It's just as valid a question and has, I would expect, just as dumb an answer.

Something else from Detective Conan - The Underground Amusement Park Murder Case.

I'm limited on space, so things need to be smaller.
