Except Segismundo is a valid Spanish name.
A little polished version for Spanish is "Cejismundo", tough the japanese as always end up messing the names.

It's not the Japanese 'messing it up', usually; they generally prefer to go by phonetics rather than spelling, and they take loanwords from more than just English (this is why the Katakana for 'thesis' uses the German pronunciation rather than the English).

ãƒãƒ¼ãƒŸã‚£ã€€ (Romi)
I've seen this little ィ before. Why is it used? Isn't ミ already a "mee" sound? Why add a イ at the end of it? Is there a reason for this? (I've seen it next to デ and テ before, but I know the reason for it, but not this one.)

Purely experimental at this point, transparent dialog windows for Devil Children: We accidentally stumbled upon how to do this thanks to the incompetence of the developers. There is a bug in the game where the devs forgot to reset some status flags that resulted in a menu screen suddenly being transparent where it wasn't before. A bit of digging on Kingcom's side and he quickly found the cause. I think it looks really nice (and I totally dig transparent message windows in any game anyway) but there are a few tiny problems to sort out with this yet. Maybe it'll be in the final release, maybe not, we'll see. It's a nice find nonetheless

And indeed, it is full of “light and dark†pseudo-scanlines. *shot*

It does look really nice. I didn't even know the GBA could do that (I remember a few SNES games with transparent windows, but IIRC they were just solid with holes in them). Which Devil Children game is that?

Ice & Flame, the sequels to Light & Dark. Just to remind everyone, this is how the windows looked in Dark Edition: *yuk*

I can't give you any examples of the top of my head but I'm pretty sure the GBA could do that all along. Actually, DQM Caravan Hearts has this sort of transparency when you walk behind a tree. Try it.

Which Devil Children game is that? The GBA is similar to the SNES. Two I know used it are Advance Wars and Gyakuten Saiban 1-3: Speaking of the GBA, I've updated the GWA1 Sprites into AW1 Patch. I forgotten to update the mini CO Icons but I've located the graphics and updated them.

Oh, I love Advance Wars. I guess I forgot about that. What's GWA1? Edit: Is it just me or is Nell wearing less clothes in the Japanese version than she does in the US version? Did NoA seriously censor her arms and legs? Edit II: Oh, I get it. GWA is Gameboy Wars: Advance. So does that mean your patch gives us Sleeveless Nell?

most of the characters in the japanese version had different looks, the patch that allowed you those graphics in the NA version has been on this site for awhile.
