Been working on a Advance Wars: Days of Ruin - CO Editor.

The way Nintendo set it up, it's very easy to modify most of the CO's stats.

- Hint Hint Nudge Nudge

Edit: Faustwolf was the one that imported the graphics and subtiled them correctly.  The graphics themselves were changed a bit more to fit the Time Devourer from Chrono Cross by myself.  It's kinda meh.

Edit 2:

I never noticed how much he looks like a Metroid that has grown horns.

I was looking at the anigif, and for a minute I thought you managed to animate that monstrosity.

Side project I am working on.

Going to erase the crap that was "byte's adventure" from the internet with a much better Megaman hack.

The tool works fine now.  Expect a release soon.

EDIT:

Just modified it to work on Dark Conflict (EU Version).  Both tools will be released separately.

The funniest part about its US/EU name differences, is that we don't know what their Japanese names are. Cheesy

From the Advance Wars: Dark Conflict AU Review:
Quote from: Patrick Kolan
The raw translation of the story is actually quite different from the US version in terms of quality and context. Interestingly, the game was actually translated by two separate teams independently for the Euro-Australian version; the result is a sometimes lifeless feel.
It seems the EU translators went with the notorious "direct translation" approach, so I wouldn't be surprised if they just romanized the names from the Japanese script.

Well, yeah. That's possible too. Although we'll never know for sure at this rate. NoJ hasn't released even a single screenshot yet.

While the Japanase version hasn't been released let, the Japanase scrpit, graphics, names etc are in both the US/EU version.

If you have an action replay, you can play the game in Japanase (the title won't change but everything else will be in Japanase).

http://forums.warsworldnews.com/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=9943

So the Japanase names are known.  www.advancewarsnet.com has more details but the playable Japanese CO names are (taken from kotarou post):

エド            (Ed)
ブラウン      (Brown)
リン             (Ling)
カトレア       (Katorea)
アトリー       (Atorii)
トラク          (Toraku)
カーライル    (Kaarairu)
ディーター    (Deiter)
ジギスムント (Seigismundo)
ローミィ       (Romi)
リーゼロッテ (Riizerotte)
べりス          (Bellis)

リン (Lin)
カトレア (Cattleya)
アトリー (Atley)
カーライル (Carlisle/Carlyle)
ディーター (Dieter, as in the German name, not someone on a diet)
ジギスムント (Sigismund)
リーゼロッテ (Liselotte)
べりス (Belis)

are far more likely readings, as some of those posters hint at.

Except Segismundo is a valid Spanish name.
