The article should be tagged for cleanup, not deletion. Bunch of Vogons.

Thank goodness that this unencyclopedic article will go away so it can provide more server space for completely encyclopedic articles like O RLY? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/O_rly and its 10 page discussion page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:O_RLY

Somebody download the article and all images, maybe clean it up a bit and we can preserve it here like we did to:

http://www.romhacking.net/transhistory/

I probably wouldn't install mediawiki here for continued editing, but I would consider making it editable in the same fashion as the rest of the content on this site.

If nothing else, it would be preserved as is.

It's not deleted yet.  Several days remain for consensus-building until somebody acts on the conclusion of the Articles for Deletion.  Why not just edit the article where it is?  You don't even need to create a wikipedia account if you don't want to.

It doesn't matter if it doesn't get deleted, there's Wikitards who will keep at it until they get their way.

Why don't we just open a romhacking history wiki at Wikia? It'll keep fucktards like that out.

sadly, they've already gotten their way a number of times:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Neill_Corlett
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/RPGe
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/DeJap_Translations

thankfully, RPGe and DeJap Translations were redirected and not deleted.  that means that we can still see the article right up to the point where it was deleted:

http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=DeJap_Translations&oldid=129057576
http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=RPGe&oldid=141750310

I avoid Wikipedia since I think it's bullshit. Reading the brainfuck on these discussion pages reminded me on why I do so, thanks Tongue

What's this Gaming Hacks book by O'Reilly that's mentioned a few times? Does anyone know it? I'm interested in the scale of how our scene is mentioned there.

I might also add RHDN gets a good deal of traffic from that entry. Apparently alot of people find that wikipedia page and then find out about RHDN too. Smiley

I say screw wikipedia, just move it somewhere else where it is not in danger of being deleted.

Someone should backup the page, then after they delete it, change it a tiny bit and remake the article. Roll Eyes

This is the book. Didn't someone post about it on the Whirlpool's message board way back?
