This might not be the easiest/smartest way to do it, but I'd set a breakpoint for when that color is written to the background color register, and trace back from there to figure out where it got the color data.

Yeah... Give this guy a break... He seems really excited by what little buggy progress he's making. Clearly we need to point out the errors in his work, but we don't need to totally ridicule him. He does post a lot... Maybe he should be pointed towards the chat room instead...?? Hmm. Well, he's french, so it makes sense.
You need to watch the last episode of Real Time with Bill Maher. Yeah he can be a total moron at times, but he had something to say about people who bash the French.

VERY APPRECIATE ! im really a dragon warrior fan since the beginning, but my favorite is the dw3 and i want another background to play it this spring. a blue or green one. this is my email adress: renejr902@hotmail.comi will post less often now thanks. send me messages or email. i dont want to get banned.

using "fucking" at random, awkward locations in your sentences isn't generally a good idea. contrary to what you may have learned, it does not naturally fit into any spot in any sentence. it generally expresses either your anger ("that fucking professor gave me a C!"), that something is superlative ("that shit is fucking awesome!"), or is used as a verbal crutch ("let's go to that pizza place... you know, fucking, oh right, antonio's.").

Or better still, don't use it at all. ^_^ Used extensively, it's less a sign of annoyance/frustration/anger and more a sign of verbal ineptitude. Check out Final Fantasy VII, or certain fansubs, for some shining examples of what happens when you're a bit too happy with the s-missiles and other heavy ordnance.

that's a bit different, though. that's written/pre-mediated dialogue vs. on-the-fly, day to day speech. it looks stupid in fansubs, games, etc. because the audience is completely off; if you're going to use "fucking", etc., you better be talking to the right audience.
stupid: professor: "yes, chapter 5 will be covered on the exam." you: "what the fuck? are you serious?!"
perhaps okay: friend: "uh, yeah, so housing said that they couldn't give us a triple, because they're reserved for those who don't have any preferred roommates." you: "what the fuck? are you serious?!"

Out of sheer curiosity, Renejr, have you tried playing the Super Nintendo or Gameboy Color versions of Dragon Quest III? O_O *Blinks three times* HOLY JEESUHS!!! I NEVER KNEW THE INTRO EXISTED IN THE NES VERSION!!! And it looks awesomer than on the SNES and GBC versions... O_o (I noticed it now, while I was writing, I had the NES DQIII on and all of a sudden I hear the battle theme. O_O WTF?!) Anyways... Renejr, have you tried playing the Super Nintendo or Gameboy Color versions of Dragon Quest III? (And you've gotten further than I have on hacking this... Although I could update the graphics on it... ) Edit: Wow... I_managed_to_get_every_string_to_come_out_like_this! Edit2: And has anyone seen a sTime? Wow. I'm really messing up the way this game looks! XD

From what I can tell, Sliver X made the background blue for you in this post.

From what I can tell, Sliver X made the background blue for you in this post. Except that (in my case) Lunar IPS doesn't recognize it as an IPS file.

Hmm, well I dunno, maybe it was some kind of joke. I didn't actually try the file.

ROFL! Well, I'm going to try some other IPS patching program (that doesn't need other things installed *eyes Ninja*)
