is it possible to do that for someone ?
is it long to do ?

hmm nothing work about color.

i replace all heads of infal fantasy character by the dragon warrior 3 bridge, it sound very strange LOL
but the bridge has always the color of the initial character. ex: for the fighter the bridge become red.

...I feel like my head is about to explode.

Okay, for Final Fantasy, you're going to want to read most of Final Fantasy Text Files, including and especially all of Final Fantasy Bytes and probably the palette editing text in your case. And then you'll want to go to the Utilities for Final Fantasy page. At this point, you absolutely must have FFHackster and FFHackster Companion. Also, I would suggest getting your hands on a Hex Editor (I prefer Hexicute), and a DTE table to edit some of the harder-to-locate texts.

You might want to use the Edit button next time, renejr902. Multi posting is generally frowned upon here.

ok reaLLY sorry about that i will edit my post next time.

But the first thing i really want: Change the battle background color of Dragon Warrior 3. where i begin to do that ? thanks

ok Can you guide me about Dragon Warrior 3 instead of final fantasy 1. i tried final fantasy 1 because it was in the explaining text. thanks

Thanks for answer. i will try my best, but it not seem easy. i tried to modify the battle background in final fantasy 1 by changing the color of all ( tiles with only one color in total)
its not working

i will try to read some text

*** some documents about dragon warrior 1, that seem interesting, but nothing really about dragon warrior 3

This child is the mo'fuggin' energizer...

To be perfectly honest, go to documents and look for Dragon Warrior 3. I don't think that sorta thing has really been looked into. A lot of NES games have black background so that they could up the detail and just not bother with outlines on the actual sprites. Hence, it's not commonly tinkered with.

so theres a possibility that the background cant be changed at all ? isnt it ?

It's possible, but unlikely. It's more likely you would have to find the location of the battle screen data and find out the colors for the windows as well as the background and alter it to the right hexadecimal score.

But that would require some knowledge of the structure of a ROM.
