A fine title screen it is! (I know there was an actual title shot before.)

Yeah, I changed the screenshots in my slideshow to be nice VBA ones, instead of the urine-stain-yellow ones that no$gmb produced. Sorry 'bout that

unfortunately, the first few SRW i will never play, its just something about text heavy, menu based games with such a small resolution to work with, it all just seems so cramped, the only even close to being text-heavy game i've played on the GB[c]/NGP was Final Fantasy Legends 3.
maybe i'm just delusional, but didn't they port the first 2 SRW to the NES?

No, the second SRW was on the NES. ^_^;
1 was GB, 2 was NES, 3 & 4 were SNES. (4 was also ported to Saturn and PS1 as SRW F and F Final, IIRC.)
I thought 2 was the first game to introduce Seishin/Spirit abilities, but some of the text snippets I translated for Gideon Zhi imply that's not the case. It is, however, the absolute first to introduce Banpresto Originals. Is it odd that I didn't really care for "Neppu! Shippu! Cybuster" until I realized it was the title screen music of SRW2?

just wiki'd it, seems that SRW2 was ported to GB, and had a menu facelift. Also just played through the first map, and they don't look anything alike :huh: so Gideon, you haven't snapped up SRW2 yet? huh, so you did, then you stopped, according to the database

Gideon Zhi handed me the script. Then Masaki and Deathevan conspired to stall the project. ^_^;

The decompressed is easy and I understand how to reinsert them. Now, I am move to NGPC version.... Rockman Battle & Fighters NGPC. The problem is... My title screen may be compressed. Well, I have 3 options. I can solicit the help of someone who does ASM hacking for my particular system. I can also learn the corresponding assembly language myself to find the title screen but what and how? I did search for something and I find this: http://www.zophar.net/tech/files/titlehack.txt <---------- Just not enough for me. Compression ? Yeah, the title screen is compressed!

Well fuck me. Someone already wrote a title screen hacking document. And it HAD to be InVerse, fuck all. Guess I'll just stop working on mine now.
Sorry for the off-topicness.
