could you have it scroll more? it'd prolly be a nightmare to code in but imagine Chrono Cross amount of characters X_X

yes, impossible, but the whole idea of a scrolling character selection screen is intriguing. but I understand that just getting one additional character will be a job in and of itself.

a random thought for both you chrono trigger hackers, any possibility of  raising the max MP achievable? it always felt kinda limiting. I know CT isn't meant to be like FF with huge amounts of health or MP but raising the maxes a bit would be cool.

IS is back, with some brand new images from menus (with an actual English translation this time):


The most annoying part of the hack is done, and it took me "only" two weeks (but, you know, exams and stuff slowed me down a lot). Menus (except for config) do not crash anymore because of memory issues, and so do dungeons. Ok, I know numbers and some characters are garbaged, but those are part of the 8x12 ASCII font already included in game and are going to be completely replaced. Oh, yeah, I've also enhanced a little the shadow to be 3D. This should solve some readability issues with very bright window themes, like Jack Frost's.

There's still a small bug to fix (look at the commas), but hey, VWF in Bare Knuckle 3. On the Genesis. Fuck yeah.

I haven't decided yet. I'm contemplating releasing two patches: one that's just the translation and the other the translation plus the Streets of Rage 3 title screen and enemy names. The title screen and enemy names would be the only difference between the two. In other words, no yellow shirts for Axel. Seriously, what the hell was Sega thinking?

Anyway, I'll give this a bit more thought and probably set up a poll at some point to get some feedback. Feel free to PM if you (or anyone else) have any comments, suggestions, etc regarding BK3. Smiley

I always thought that the max HP was too low. I was already at level 40 or whatever and had 999 HP for Crono.

That's Persona 2, the one not released outside Japan? O_o Looks better than the other Persona 2!
