http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ENtL4puk-f0 - Pre-Final preview! Cheesy!  Enjoy!
Watching this was beyond exciting! Thank You! I still somehow have a problem of grasping this whole “Schala as a playable character”-awesomeness, for me it is just too epic to fully believe! Wink

1:24 - When you select "Turn back for now", wouldn't it be better to let one of the other characters argue with that choice, instead of just opening the dialog again (unless that doesn't happen automatically)?
If You really want to comment on the whole “turn back for now”-choice, how about just a comment from Schala (that means one has to have her in the party to get a reaction for choosing this choice). And I would not make it something extensive, maybe just a “Janus...” since she is the one most worried about Magus and that would express her worries very subtle about her little brother facing a powerful foe without her following him. And if she is the only one commenting on the decision that would somehow add dramatic value. Oh, I'm at it again, sorry. You're the artist, I already love it anyway, so I will love it no matter what! Schala2
How about calling her “Schala DD” in the dialogue (like in the battle)?
Just out of curiosity, is there a reason why the warp animations go into 16:9-format at the end?

Thank You Justin, what a great way to start a new day, with an exciting Chrono Trigger video!

Not all the dialogue has been properly changed and not all of her sprites have been completed quite yet, so there's bound to be some freaky looking things.

The order of the dialogue is set like this because it's exactly like the DS event.  But I'll change it around a bit as well.  In fact, I was going to do that anyhow because it seemed rather awkward!  Nice eye on that though and thank you for reminding me on that.  Going to be SUCH a hassle to get this though.  The thing on this though, what would they say when they're going to fight?  Or would they just move up, rip out weapons, and randomly start.

I have no idea on the time gate, I was wondering the same thing.  Probably either something freaky with an overlap of coding or that's just how CT was built.

Yeah, like that - see above.

Wow I just keep posting things..=/  Maybe there should be a Personal Project thread just for this.

In any case, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Udoj1lYoG8c - Dream Devourer's AI is 99% complete for being a DS clone.  For adding other things to make it much more difficult and more fun, 0%

*sniff* It's good to see my font still in this project...

Justin, good luck!

Your font was absolutely fantastic for this project.  REALLY was a life saver.  Thank you very much for helping with it! Cheesy

How did you get a working 8x8 (or smaller?) VWF for the techniques and items? Nice touch.

Also, I think you should try and get the three fonts in the game (8x8, 8x8 VWF and 8x12 VWF) to match as much as possible. They kinda clash right now. >_>"";

Borrowed some of the coding from the Finnish version of Chrono Trigger.

I have no idea really how all of this VWF coding even works nor do I plan on going through all of it just to figure it out.  Too much hassle to do at the moment.

Plus, the VWF is kind of boggy right now due to the coding or something, so it's best just to leave it right now unless we find some other method that works better.

I actually made a bold version of the 8x8 font for usage in the rest of the menu, but it was shot down because of something. I don't remember. What I most vividly remember is Justin saying "...but if we get more letters in the menu, then fuck yeah, we're using it."

The extra space for more letters was absolutely needed with how lengthy the descriptions people were giving everything.

New font, new menu borders and a custom item with custom graphics.

Tifa's portrait looks MUCH better.  The way the attack is pulled off is also pretty nifty.  If only that bug wasn't there then it'd be outstanding.  Great job nonetheless!

An equipable crossbow in FFVI, with an annoying bug which makes it unusable. >_>"";

This was very well done, but I have to comment again about font. That VWF looks nice and all, except at that time period when there's snow on the ground. You need to change it somehow (say, bold it, or something) to make it stand out more from the snow itself. Very hard to read in the current state.

The rest of the stuff was awesome.

Neat, glitches aside. You should try making more custom weapons like that, but not so powerful, that use esper/blitz/sword tech effects as attacks.

I'll see if I can do something of that sort.  Only idea I can think of use random extra letters to represent it, but I don't think there's enough room.  I think the Finnish version pulled that off though..so I'll have to check that out again.

Edit: Nope.  There's just have a random unused font in there for whatever reason. :/

Edit 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8fjFWMQjB-E - Reuploaded with a little more advancement on the dungeon map.  Plus multiple fixes here and there.
