You can do cool stuff with the N64 by writing stuff directly in C  Grin. This is a complete 'pong' game using Mario 64's print functions:

I don't have anything to show, but I made this cool video of NES copy protection for you guys to check out.

I'm not sure why the programmers did this and this has not been cracked yet.

Just to clarify this isn't a emulator issue. It goes crazy on NEStopia too.

Just curious for Pennywise, anyone know if TAITO had anything else like this in any other game? Could lead to a fix if so.

Probably not. I think the game's got its own custom mapper and that might have something to do with it. Dunno, I'll find out sooner or later.

Uh, you said this is supposed to be the summon from FFT? "Ultima" is a spell that Ramza learns. The summon that I think you're remembering is "Zodiac".

All the new Espers, some I'm pleased with and some they're just "meh".
Titles are links to their respective videos.

Ultima
I like Ultima a lot, I believe most people who've seen the video do as well. I look at Bahamut being similar to Flare and Leviathan being similar to Holy. Both are pretty equal in damage and both are opposites. I believe "Ultima" is the balance and stronger between the two so that's why I implemented Ultima as a summon as well.
While I used the Ultima sprite from FFT:A, this is the actual "Ultima, the High Seraph" summon:
http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Ultima_%28Summon%29

Syldra
I don't like the Syldra one that much to be honest, I feel as if I didn't do anything except replace the Tritoch sprite. (Which I did).
There are some blue lightning bolts from some cinematic scenes I'll most likely be replacing with. No more Tritoch animations, even though it's pretty similar(close) to FFV's Syldra.

Leviathan
I like Leviathan kinda, I hope you guys feel I did him justice giving him a "FFIVish" feel. I wanted the "Water Edge" graphics because of how the animation seems similar to FFIV's Leviathan tsunami animation.
I can always change the water animations (Water Edge) to Wave although I don't want to mimic Bismark. Bismark won't be in my hack, he's being replaced by Leviathan.

Titan
I like Titan the most because his feels the most "custom" out of all the Espers I've implemented. It's not just a sprite replacement like Syldra and Ultima are. I replaced Terrato for Titan, although I didn't use any of Terrato's animations except maybe the Esper coming out of the ground. I used "Quake" as the Esper attack animation.

To be honest, FFIV gfx on FFVI is like a punch in the eyes. You should seriously consider the idea of redoing Titan and Leviathan from scratch, or at least adapt them to look more FFVI-ish. On the other side, FFV sprites blend a lot better and don't feel like coming from another game.

I've found that recoloring them to be darker, using some shades already used by FF6's sprites, is usually enough for them to blend in "good enough." They are done in a different style, though, and do stand out a bit no matter what.

Oh yeah, I never posted these here:

I am going for that feel that "these summons are from another game" instead of trying to make it seem like they were originally from FFVI. My hack "Final Fantasy VI: Revelations" takes two characters from every game excluding FF1 and anything over FF10.
Thanks for the comments guys. Smiley
