incredibly late to the party here, but here's my two cents...

it's a hack, it's upfront about its weaknesses, it belongs here.

is it ideal as a translation? not in the least.  you'll never hear me argue otherwise, either.

however, i agree that hacks like these should be posted with a less-than-1.0 version number and a note stating that they're machine translations -  and PLEASE GOD someone find a human translator for the script!

Oh crap, sorry everybody, but I didn't get a human translator for my Riddle of Murasame Castle translation, and I based it entirely on Babelfish, a dictionary, and inference. Can someone in staff move it to the Hacks section?

Your title screen does rock, but "Riddle"? Why not "The Mystery of Murasame Castle", or just "Murasame Castle"?

"Nazo no" means "mysterious", not "mystery of".

Yeah, uh, that's what someone told me the title meant back when I was thinking about translating it. It really bugs me, but I don't know if I want to make a whole new patch release just to change it. Plus, I don't know if InVerse would want to design a new title screen for it anyways.

See? Even more reason to put it in the Hacks section!

As I only have time to go through the news on this site in detail about once a year, I just noticed this discussion now.  Since I thought it was an important topic that should get the vote of the entire community, I thought I'd post something even if no one ever saw it.

While I respect Neil's choice, I thought I would add my vote that the patch be hosted by the site as a translation, but that it is an incomplete translation.  There are many translations on this site that are 5% done that I'm sure were done with the help of a machine translator for things like items or menus.  The fact that they went farther with this, shouldn't be punished.

Especially since they are clearly stating that it was machine translated, that way you can choose to play it or not knowing full well that it is playable, just not accurate.
