Anyone know anything about this translation? I was also wondering why there hasn't been any info on it on this site, and it's not listed under the GBA section in the translations list.
Cheers.

yes, I could have sworn there was a topic about it. In any case I'm looking forward to it.

The web site goes to show that the project is alive and kicking, and will keep you updated as well. Looks like it's in good hands, really.

Actually, I am pretty surprised no one in Romhacking.net has mentioned M3 and the Do-It-Yourself devotion. I for one am pretty excited about the translation, I try to check back to the website often (as you can see XD), and am currently playing M3 (only here and there, though) using the menu patch.
I wonder, couldn't the menu patch be hosted on Romhacking.net? It isn't the patch that everyone wants, but for the time being, its what we have until Tomato and company can figure out those nasty bugs.

It's like what that old guy from Gladiator says. It's just a whisper, a hope, a dream, one utterance of it and it vanishes. (not exact quote obviouslt ) Although I'm fairly sure they've been fairly outspoken about there translation, going so far as to tell the development staff.

Well for a while it was one of those things we were uneasy about because we weren't quite sure if it would actually be brought to North American or not. It could have winded up in the Pokémon translation zone of completely pointless.

I dunno how NC or the others feel about the issue still, but it'd be nice to have a page for it at least. I'd rather keep the menu patch off for now though, as I'm not too happy with it and don't want to give it any extra publicity

That's exactly what the Mother 3 project is. It was started before the Japanese version was even released. That's not what the community RHDN represents is about.

Okey dokey, I'll accept that and leave it at that. Though you may want to take down the year-old MOTHER 3 help want ads put up by the warez team Though, fwiw, the people who started the 0-day warez project aren't involved, the 0-day warez team's original work isn't involved, and me, Gideon, and demi only started our project months later when we knew for sure it wasn't going to get a commercial release. It's a long read, but this includes a lot of the background info of the current project, and the lengths to which we went to actually GET a commercial release. Though I know none of that really matters here.

Wait, what, really? A translation of a title that is never going to see an official English release, for a platform that is no longer supported by its manufacturer, is a day-0 project? I understand that there was some activity in that direction towards Mother 3 when it first released, but why does that carry over to the current translation?

I also believe this is an incorrect decision based on a faulty understanding of the situation.

when is the line? I mean, how many years until it is in the "OK" book, are there not other GBA hacking projects on RHDN?
Not trying to cause disention, I'm genuinely curious about the regulation of the matter.

GBA is commercially dead. No more games. I can understand not listing info on a translation patch then, but it has definitely been out long enough now.
The last Japanese boxed release was Final Fantasy VI Advance, way back in November 2006. Then China around July or so. And US/EU this past November.
