I played Wrecking Crew '98! I don't know Japanese too well, but I do a very good job at learning how to play the game real fast... and the original version is provided in full English!
Zig Zag Cat plays like Sailor Moon Fuwa Fuwa Panic 1 and 2 in some way, but it's more like a breakout-type game... ball and paddle, that is. I can provide screenshots of Japanese text if you want. The only stuff that is in English are "Game Over", "Episode 1", and "Stage (insert number here)". However, I know my basic translation knowledge; I know Yes and No in the games because of basic knowledge with selecting these. I also know New Game and Load Game for the same reason. However, I still don't know quite a bit. In The Shinri Game 2 and 3, which are more like , I mindlessly/randomly select options/answers. This actually helps; if I don't know the text, then sometimes this can work to an advantage because I can grab the music, although with less detail on the titles that I provide when I dump the SPCs. Yes, I dump SPCs of games. I am working on dumping complete (or close to that) SPC sets of games that haven't been put on the site yet. I do a rather speedy job on some of these games, and my emulator, SNES9X, gets the job done real well.
OK, before I go too far off topic, let's look up more games that are similar to Panel de Pon. I know one possible game this might go under... Dolucky's Puzzle Tour. I only assume this from screenshots I've found online.
