My intentions were for the title screen to read from left to right as per the translation. Although, I see your point about how it reads. Right now I just don't feel like making any more modifications to it. Hacking that screen was somewhat of a pain. I was also, somewhat trying to capture the style of the original title screen as well.
If there really are confusions about the name(s), I think I will try to split it up. lmao

How do these look, format wise? I've gotten back into the saddle with FFIV. Instead of focusing on some of the hacking, I've decided to start translating and formatting the script a bit. Then, once I get a bunch of it done, I plan on releasing a YouTube video showcasing all of the improvements made hacking-wise since my last video. ~DS DS, you'll have to forgive me (and maybe I'm going to be the only one who'll says this) but I kinda don't like the center-format. Maybe right-justify may work better? I'll look more like reading a book.

I kind of forgot to mention this on IM, but the Star Wars intro text is justified (just like books and newspaper columns).
It’s not the greatest look with a monospace font and so few columns to work with, but it’s probably been done before with varying levels of success.

It's not the spacing as much as it is the formatting. Try this:
And so it was that the Dark Knight Cecil was stripped of his
position as Commander of the Red Wings Baron's airship fleet.
Alternatively:
And so it was. The Dark Knight Cecil was stripped of his
position as Commander of the Red Wings, Baron's airship fleet.

That looks amazing, Talbain. Would you mind if I PMed you the entire intro for you to format in that manner? (I still have to add the spacing control codes by hand, but it would greatly reduce the work involved if you would format it for me first). ~DS

Apologies for not getting back to you on this sooner, currently on vacation until the 15th (only have limited access to a computer).

that does look pretty good DS/Talbain.
say DS are you using the original script? I'm sure you've said before but there are so many FFIV scripts floating around I've forgotten.

Nope. It's a translation that I wrote. I have people look over it for glaring errors and things that would sound better worded one way or another (for example, I tossed it at Deuce and used a few of his suggestions). The whole game will be done this way. If anyone would like to be editor for the project, I'm looking for one. I've recently dumped at least 75% of the scripts for the game (and by the time I put together my next YouTube video, I'll have made it 100%). I don't have a ton of free time to translate them anymore, but I've been chipping away at it whenever I get a chance. I still have some major hacking to do in some areas, but it's already bounds more advanced than the j2e hack is in some areas. I do still need to find out how they handled the battle menus and whatnot, though... ~DS

DS, did you like what I sent you via PM? If there's anything you think might need more revising or doesn't look quite as nice as expected, please let me know. Always want to help the community in whatever way I can.
Also, I would love to help edit if you like what you've seen so far.

Yeah, I do like what you sent me. I just haven't had a chance to do much lately. Once I'm done doing a few things, I'm going to do my best to get some of it in today, if not all of it. If you'd like to edit for me, I'd love to have you. Keep in mind that I don't have a ton of time on my hands to translate the script ATM, and that I'm very picky. ~DS

It was easy using Mato's tools. Most of the meteorite scene has been translated and some of Onett. Gyiyg has its name kept from the Japanese Version.
