I love how he can't really spell very well or type much, and just said he's new, but wants to hack a gameboy advanced game.
I lol'd.

You might as well be trying to tackle a Blue-Eyes White Dragon with a used toothpick. this deserves a medal, for an accurate analogy of the world of hacking.

I'm serious. We're looking at a person who probably doesn't even know what a ZIP file is, except that his ROMs and emulators come packed in them. Explaining to him that the graphics are compressed is just going to go over his head...or worse, prompt him to ask for a tool that handles compression. Okay, so in this case, there is a tool for GBA graphics compression that works dandy on the Pocket Monsters games - damned if I can remember the name of it - but seriously, he's better off getting his feet wet with the basics...something he can hack with just the basic "graphics editor/hex editor" dynamic duo. (Otherwise we might have another Rai on our hands. >_>)

The next time you come back to this board, use a subject that reflects the subject of your post. 'im new' is meaningless. Then, actually do a little research and searching on your own. THEN and ONLY then come back here and ask additional questions. This is an example of the bane of our community. I think I am going to stick this post in the rules as what not to do. Anybody who follows suit should be thrown right out of here without a second glance.

No offense to you, man, I see where you're coming from, but that's a little...mean.... Oh yeah, and I love the name. "jizzo". Kinda rolls right off your tongue, y'know? [Very AO-rated pun intended, for those who get it. ]

it IS interesting how if the person making the silly request is new he gets chewed out, but if a normal member does, they aren't, you'd think it shoud be the other way around, the member should know better.
I've also found this frustrating at other forums where they misunderstand you or you make a slight mistake and you are from then on marked by that post, I guess it pays to post wisely.
In any case RHDN is good because for the most part we are nice but still don't put up with any crap.

Use PokéPic, AdvanceMap, EliteMap, HexWorkshop,ScriptEd, Rubikon and it should work out. Oh yeah, get a text hexeditor, too.
