It's not my help what you need, but a basic knowledge of snes graphical hacking (and I'm not talking about creating tables and replacing a script). And please, stop asking everybody in this topic "HOW I REINSERT BMP, PLS!!111one!!" and start looking at it by yourself. You'll find an answer, eventually.

For Bearmon. Hi?

1. Prehaps! I'm've was to make football often times. Play? Know. Best football results twice again.

2. Every age I have seen out as a baby. I think I has the solution: width times height.

3. As a wery old, I can fathom the scene to be with me. Looking always as I ever did. It was not came's. He borrowed mine.

Okay, Bearmon, I hope that answers your questions. I think we're on the same page. Unfortunately, yours has a big F on it.

You know, asking is fine, but persistent requests for help might piss off people. I told you already, but I'll make the concept brighter: instead of waiting for the Holy Grail to bless your eyes with a one-click-solution, start working on your own.

This thread gets my vote for year's best.

Bearmon: it's simple graphics hacking. There's a wealth of documents on the site covering the topic if you'd just bother to look.

I have knowledge about ascii codes but I just need to know what program that will allow me to reinsert my title screen from the photoshop in .bmp to the snes rom, that's all. Smiley

  • Search the utilities section for game-specific tools.
  • If there's nothing for your game, look for tile editors and change it manually.
  • If the graphics are compressed, search for tools or libraries that understand the compression.
  • If there are none, search for documents that explain this (particular type of) compression. Then learn to program and code the tool by yourself. If there's no such doc, you'll have to reverse-engineer the game code.

Thanks but I already know that. I did my drawing in scratch on photoshop and I want to reinsert it back into my snes rom. I understand that Tile Molester can do that but I cannot figure it out how to reinsert it back into my snes rom.

Dont assume me like that. I don't know you and you don't know me and I don't assume anybody and the proof is need and I have. There is one:

The translated was supposed to say: Protoman: Stop! King! What are you doing in Dr. Wily's museum?

I found the line that most closely resembles that, and while "Stop! King!" is perfectly acceptable that last one is off, I think. If I'm thinking of the right line, it's:

そこまでだ! キング! ドクタ-ワイリ-の けんきゅうじょの つぎは はくぶつかんか?

Word for word it's:

There until is! King! Doctor Wily (possessive particle) laboratory (possessive particle) next (particle) museum (question particle)

I think your translator may be getting the first and second clauses of the last sentence confused. "Doctor Wily" modifies "けんきゅうじょ" (laboratory) not "はくぶつかん" (museum) so it's "Doctor Wily's Laboratory" not "Doctor Wily's Museum." The second clause "つぎは はくぶつかんか?" literally means "Is the museum next?" and the first clause is a modifier for "つぎ" or "next." So it's like "The museum is after Dr. Wily's Laboratory?"  I translated it as "Blues: That's far enough, King! First Dr. Wily's lab, now the museum?" which while not perfectly literal (a more literal translation would have had that last sentence substituted with "So the museum is next after Dr. Wily's laboratory?" but I thought the former would sound better) is a decent approximation of what's being said IMHO.

Which kind of makes sense, since the museum doesn't belong to Dr. Wily anyway, it's a regular museum of robots open to the public. (Though one wonders what lava pits are doing in a museum open to the public...)

I can understand how your translator made the mistake though, Japanese grammar is very weird compared to English and it's really easy to get confused when you're first starting out. (my first game translation was horrid. HORRID! Thank God I never released it to the public ^^;"";)

But if you find any other mistakes, please send 'em my way! Thanks in advance! Smiley
