Write dialogue to match the character's personality. Don't think "how am I gonna translate this accent?", just think "how should this guy sound in English?"

Perhaps you missed the 'niggas' bit, then. :p

It's still not urban slang.

I agree with Ryusui Smiley I've watched some clip featuring Kero and he seems to be very proud and fond of himself. He also raises his voice a lot when he speaks... Maybe we could just let him speak normal English (or add some slangish abbreviation) and just use CAPS when he could have raised his voice eg. :

すべては ワイと さくらの 出会い から はじまったんや!      Everything STARTED when I met Sakura !

or to leave the emphasis at the end of the sentence  Everything started when I MET Sakura !

or Everything started when I and Sakura MET!  [this one looks strange _-_]

There could also be a special font for his "I" /bold or something/

It's just an idea ...

yeah that sounds like the best idea. I think just making him sound overconfident should help in bringing out his personality, I'd steer clear of the caps though, they don't look that nice :p

Just as a note to o_mo_shiroi and Shadowless - can you make sure that you use ASCII punctuation instead of Japanese punctuation, so no full width full stops, brackets, etc. I'm asking this because my english table uses ASCII punctuation instead of SJIS, so to avoid a lot of extra hassle can you keep this in mind? Thanks Tongue

These are the characters that change between table files:

> = >
< = <
∧ = ^
( = (
) = )
+ = +
- = -
/ = /
_ = _
。 = .
!! = !!
・ = '
? = ?
! = !
… = ...

That's about it Tongue

I've seen and heard WHITE PEOPLE AND LATINOS USE THOSE TERMS. Yes, even nigga/nigger.

Urban slang.

My vote is for film-noir-kero.

Those Clow cards aren't gonna catch themselves, squirt.
Maybe catch me a bottle of bourbon while you're at it.

See, when I think of 'urban slang', I don't think "po' white trash" and the like. I mean words like 'wanna', 'gonna', and things like that.

Let's not argue about the definition of words on an internet forum.
