I have a quick question. Did Easy Type retain the Fire/Thunder/Blizzard continuation, exchanging ra/ga for 1/2 , or did it change Thunder and Blizzard to Bolt and Ice? They still used Blizzard and Thunder. |

There's still a few spells cut off ("Thundra"), but hopefully I'll figure out something to fix that as well. Looking at the screenshot, I think that only a VWF can help. |

if you want to stick with recent official terminology, i believe dejeon is now Banish. the De-zone theory is a bit specious, anyway...

Speaking of De-zone, shouldn't it be Degeon, where -geon stands for Dungeon?  Since all it does it teleporting you to the previous dungeon floor. |

You do realize Easy Type used numbered spells instead of suffixes, right? Either way, how do you plan on handing the battle menu?
Yeah, I understand it. I'm highly considering releasing two patches: one with every single change that Easy Type has, and one with it modified. I really dont want to call them "Blizzard 1/2/3". Not only would it take up more space, but it's stupid. And yeah, I'm beginning to think a VWF would be the only option as well. It would also clear up the battle version of that menu too. RedComet reminded me of it, and I'm going to look at a bunch of materials I'll need to understand, and I may be trying to create my first VWF soon. ~DS |

i suggest creating a new system in which the more suffixes you have, the more ridiculously awesome and powerful the spell. for example...
thunder - your basic lightning spell.
thundara - a medium level lightning spell.
thundaga - a powerful lightning spell.
thundagaja - a super powerful lightning spell.
thundamajaga - a spell so awesome it summons jaga, lord of the thundercats, to strike down your foes.
exception: thundera is even more powerful, despite being short on suffixes.

That is awesome! Thundera should be the ultimate lightning elemental summon spell! The planet of Thundera crashes into the enemy group for massive damage!!!!!! LOL

In that case, and since I have waaaaay too much free time today ... let me try and talk you into it :)  vs Seriously, the difficulty of an 8x8 VWF is unfortunately highly exaggerated by some of the more prominent ROM hackers. No harm in giving it a shot, right? ;) |

That is only a graphical mockup, and not an actual VWF, right? I mean, the chances of you having the exact same levels and such as my screenshot is pretty slim.
But yeah, I'm gonna give it a shot. It's a bit scary, because it'll be my first, but I think of it this way: when I was doing all of the recent FFIV: ET stuff I stopped and thought "Wow. This stuff seemed so complicated when I first started doing it." So maybe it's the same, I just have to conquer the fear of doing it, study up, and give it a shot.
