I am really newbie in this case, so if I say something stupid please don't make fun of me! 

I want to know if I can translate "Nekketsu! Street Basket - Ganbare Dunk Heroes" in this way or not :

I use NESticle and Tile Layer Pro to edit letters. Look at this picture :



As you can see in the picture there is not any English lower case letters in this game but I want to use them in this way :
First I edit and change upper case letters' position to look better (specially for space between letters). In the picture I did this for "S" (try to compare it with the upper S).
Then I edit Japanese letters and replace each of them with two English lower case letters (example : "ta" "mi" "na").
Now I have a plane to reuse these paired letters to form other words.
Is this possible or not?

My own idea is : This is not possible because I will face a shortage about editable characters and letters.

Any idea?

I think I remember Kitsune once posting that he used the extra tiles to give the characters proper names and fit within the four-letter or so ROM and/or screen space limit.

[edit] Nevermind, I see what you mean. Yeah, I think it would be best to just modify the kana that you won't be using.

がんばれ comes from the root verb in Japanese がんばる which means "To do one's best". Often, this verb is seen in two common conjugations: がんばって and がんばれ, the former of which usually translates to something like "Good luck!" or "Do your best!", and the latter which, IIRC, means "Go for it!" or some such.

Well,  I think"keep on" is more like "continue" than "persevere" or "try one's best". It's also supposed to be an adverb.

To me, "keep on" refers to an event/action that happened recently, which continues or is being repeated through the present.
