It is too bad Neil is not willing to help out since he was the one that helped with Dejap and Partial Translations for DQ5 on the SNES, besides knowing this is a Chun Soft based game, bugs are bound to be plenty, since there is code that makes it much like taking apart Zelda 3(due to similar code), and that makes me cringe on it.

Its too bad I'm not willing to help with what exactly? The only thing I recall ever being asked to do was to look at some scripts on the wiki for DQ5r at one point (which I politely declined since I'd have nothing of any import to add (and all the work we did on the DQ5 SFC script had already been handed over).

I don't have any of the files being asked for in this thread. I think on a back up CD somewhere I have an ancient version of J2e's work-in-progress, but that won't do anyone any good. If I recall it was mostly scattered notes about pointer locations and the like.

That's already been done: He only worked on a very small hack, and doesn't have the source code.

=\\

As I said on byuu's board, there is the possibility ChrisRPG's code died with him(Sad...).
Tell me about that, and he got himself banned here

Actually, his ban expired quite a long time ago. I have no idea why his profile has not been edited back to reflect that. I should have done it when I was a mod... >.>

Well we should try to get him back over here, besides if both DQ1&2 as well as DQ6 to be underway, then we need him here, but of course he is busy so I really doubt he knows he is unbanned here, I mean he is the one that knows everything about the SNES programming, I just wish he took his time to speak to us about this translation, but I should not demand on it I guess.

Yes Damars and I didn't ask Neil for anything when it comes to DQ1+2 yet, and as far as I know that's the only hackers working on it atm. The only thing I really want now is the source to a good SNES debugger. :>

Wait until Byuu's got his debugger release of bsnes out. That will probably help quite a bit.

Then again that program requires a much faster CPU unlike SNES9x Debug, which I currently have at the moment.

And Neil, it was just a thought I guess, given that the DS version is the best one out there.
