I'm at work so I can't test this but I thought I would make everyone aware.... Policenauts is now translated into English! This is really good news!!!

If anyone can test this please post back.

I can confirm this.

Also, it's best to play this on a modded PSX. As emulators have some problems. (Read the readme for information)  Wink

Anyone who has played Snatcher needs to play this game.  Cheesy
It's Kojima's finest work. (And I'm not even a MGS fan!  Roll Eyes)

Thanks. I can't believe it's finally over.  I submitted the hack by the by.  Here's hoping 1.0 lasts awhile!

You submitted it as a hack and not a translation. Tongue

Ah shit, my bad.  Should I resubmit as a translation?

It would make things easier for us

On-topic: Man, I really waited for this translation for years (huge Snatcher and MGS fan) and now I don't have time to play it for at least a week (exams...) :banghead: At least something to look forward to.

Indeed it is.  And setting it up correctly was evil because...  well, I don't have the *ahem* original discs.

Apparently, xdelta doesn't like Athlon CPUs, which was my main source of consternation.  And my conversion to PSP was no less iffy.  I burned far more time on it than I should have, but it's _Policenauts_.

Now to track down some original discs on Ebay.

I am quite glad about this, not only for the obvious reason that it's translated, but we have seen a glimpse of the immense work and effort that has gone into the project, so I am happy for everyone

Mod Edit: I merged the topic in gaming discussion with this one.

Ah, I was wondering where this thread had gone.  I was worried it'd been removed for some flaming or something equally stupid.

Anyway, if anybody else read the readme and scratched their heads at the mentions of the e}I{ plugin, I believe I found the site with the latest version of it: http://ej.at.tut.by/

No idea.

It's a shame because Tokemeki Memorial for the PSX has the exact same engine... ...but I've honestly got like no interest in translating it.

Really?

*eyes the complete copy he found for a buck a few months ago*

And I wouldn't go near it anyway. The damn thing is FIVE DISCS LONG...
