I'm going to assume the NSRT labeled good version is the one used for this patch (though someone should confirm). You can check with NSRT that your ROM is valid. Not to mention it will give you the CRC32 KingMike just spoke about. NSRT is available on our site.
Eh, Nightcrawler! Funny this I just put a translation request of either Monster Maker 3(snes) or metal max 2(snes, being done by AGTP, but progress has not been made in 2 yrs)on your forum, I know its not active but I though well might as well try since it seem people visit every couple of days, so since ran into you here could you honor my request?
maybe I read that wrong but did you just ask Nightcrawler to translate two games
I gave him a choice of 2 games, I only want him to translate of them, but then again he doesn't have to translate either, of course.

I was referring to the fact that you may need to use a different patching method, as I said do not assume because something is different, that IT is wrong.

Do not assume everything in romhacking is as straightforward as IPS.

Sorry for the blatant jab, but I dislike being bested.

I should have asked much earlier I am sorry, what emulator are you using?
No offense Cowboy, but you don't know anything this subject, do you? I get your trying to help but your unknowledged.
Heres why-
1. Emulator is irrevalent to patching process, I get SnesGT and bnes are the only ones that work but while patching it doesn't matter.
2. I'm not assuming anything, UPS has 2 basic functions and those running and patching. Theres no other method, since UPS is the only patcher for .UPS files.
3. I know whats wrong-I have a rom with an invalid checksum, why? I have no clue, that is what most emulation sites provide me with.

Once again is this not a personal attack, merely an attempt to help you understand my situation.

I understand the situation, I just assumed anyone stupid enough to come into someones house and start asking for stuff, would be stupid enough to not read a readme file, I mean obviously you cannot read the rules, so why should I assume you can read at all?

Here is an idea google and find the right version of the rom, I am not your fucking nanny, it is not my job to help your pirate shit, and don't double post, it makes you look foolish.

Those rules you were referring to were the ones that included not flaming people and not pretending to be a moderator, right?

1) Get Der Langrisser v1.1 (J)

A)
2a) Remove header, if one exists: filesize should be 2097152 bytes.
2b) Use tsukuyomi v0.01, at byuu.org/programming
2c) choose to apply patch to existing file, pick your UPS and SMC files

B)
2a) Get bsnes v0.037a, and use its auto-patching feature, it will automatically remove the header for you
2b) Rename your ROM to, eg "derlang.smc", rename patch to eg "derlang.ups", put in same folder
2c) Run bsnes, load game, it will tell you at the bottom whether or not patch was applied successfully
2d) Bug the other SNES emu authors to add UPS soft patching support :D

Self defense, my ass! I didn't do shit to you and come out and fucking flame me, just who think you are?! google isn't the solution for everything anyway. I didn't even break any rules to begin with, I made sure not ask for the rom and read the readme file, mayhap if you read once in while you'd know how to solve my problem. You, my dear foolish friend, could be banned for A.Flaming and B.Falsely Accusing me and C.Trolling. GTFO now!

It matters not Byuu has spoken, take his advice, and all we be settled.

Now when I asked what emulator you were using there is a reason, I am obviously not as foolish as you think I am.  The next point, the flame was made because, as it says up atop this forum "translation request do not go here" Lastly if I am to be bested, I do not wish it to be by someone who thinks just because I made an attempt to help, and they cannot follow instructions, it is somehow MY fault.  I tried to help you, and you made some rather unsavory comments to me, as well as did things that irk me (ie. asking for this and that).

You can say you did nothing, but I think you did enough to warrant me flipping on you.

And lastly and this is directed at Byuu, why would I ask other emulators to support this? Is there ever any need for another emulator besides bsnes?

You didn't do anything and furthermore I asked nothing of you! I understand i can't make translation requests here, but I just kind of jumped there because I had just visited his site, it wasn't really a formal request anyhow.
@byuu-thanks a lot man, I'll follow those step, can't wait to try out Langrisser. keep up the godly work, dude Smiley
