Hello,

I made a patch to display text instead of waitsigns in BSZelda:

Waitsigns example:
http://www.bszelda.zeldalegends.net/bs1pics/signspatch.gif

Translation example:
http://kiddocabbusses.nothingforfree.com/BS-X/bszelda_map1.0.PNG

The problem that I have is that I only have translations for the first week of BSZelda and miss week 2-4. Anybody who is interested and able to understand spoken japanese, please help me!

The videos can be found here (to log in at nicovideo.jp, use username: cody24@gmx.de Password bszelda1:

http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm160356 Week 2 Part 2/3
http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm160393 Week 2 Part 3/3

http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm163035 Week 4 Part 2/3
http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm163102 Week 4 Part 3/3

Whenever there's a waitsign occuring (like in the waitsign example above) I'd need the spoken text in english Smiley In the week 2 1st video there's a waiting sign e.g. at 3:05 (or 2:09 ingame time). If it isn't too much work also a full video translation would be nifty Wink

Results can be sent to my mail address (con.s@gmx.de) or at our homepage project topic

Many thanks!

Ah, well done coming here without fear, hero.
The battle to take back the Triforce has begun once again.
The Triforce (pieces?) hidden in Dark Lord Ganon's dungeons have all ____.
Two new dungeons have appeared, and there are no doubt Triforce (pieces?) there too.
Go now, hero. Take back the Triforce.
However, today's battle may prove harder still.
I will do what I can to assist you from here.
Oh, yes. The merchant ____ has starting selling new things.
Using those could make things easier today.
You would certainly be better off with them.
Now then, you must hurry, or this land will surely be doomed.
I will return the memory you left with me.
Take it with you.

I'm sorry, hero.
It seems you needed rupees in order to talk to the merchants.
I do not know how many rupees you have,
so I decided to help you out.
I put a spell on the monsters for a short time.
Don't overdo it and get yourself killed.

Just a moment ago,
I tried reading the merchants' minds.
Ohhh, it was unbelievable.
They have nothing on their minds but rupees.
Not even the future of Hyrule. Nothing else.
I am going to manipulate them for a short time.
While I have their minds under control,
go talk to them.

Great! These are the first 2 waitsigns of week 2 videos,  Cool

1:09 Increased likelihood to gain many rupees by defeating monsters
1:20 Prices halved in shops

I listed the remaining wait signs, the time they should occur and their effect in the game:

week 2
1:30 You get the Red Candle
1:40 The Lost Woods' magic disappears
1:45 The Tornadoes disappear. Go for the White Sword
1:50 a whistle is heard upon entering overworld screens with a secret

week 3
2:10 A Street Vendor sells Blue Medicine for 10 rupees before Level 5
2:20 Unlimited Bombs
2:30 The falling rocks stop coming
2:32 You have all Heart Containers
2:35 The Tile that opens Level 6 appears
2:45 You get the Mighty Boomerang
2:50 First sunset (darknuts in Overworld, decreased amount of monsters in Dungeons), the falling rocks come back

week 4
3:10 Shop prices halved
3:15 All Red Bubbles are turned into harmless Blue Bubbles (I think you have translated this one yet a while ago Smiley )
3:26 The Red Ring and Magic Sword are now available
3:35 Red Ring and Magic Sword gone; a whistle is heard upon entering overworld screens with a secret
3:40 The sword shoots even with hearts not filled, Unlimited Bombs and Mighty Boomerang
3:45 Second sunset (darknuts in Overworld, decreased amount of monsters in Dungeons), Ganon is ready for the final battle

If you can, please translate them as well. I'll be able to finish my patch then - that would be more than awesome!  :woot!:

0:45 Unlimited Bombs in week 1...

http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm159930 Week 1 Part 2/3

A terrible scene just appeared before my eyes.
Monsters, rocks, walls, all destroyed in a puff of smoke.
This is not my power.
Perhaps it is a power you guided here,
through me, from another planet.
That would mean it should be given to you.

Many thanks, your translation skills are really fantastic  Wink hopefully, you can also translate more signs whenever you have time to  Tongue

We discuss if the sentence "This is not my power" and the following "Perhaps..." refers to the vision of the smoke, or to the unlimited bomb power that "will be given to you". Do you have through the translation maybe a clue?

Thanks. I'm not a native speaker though, so it's a tough exercise and I have to listen to the lines several times to try and catch what he's saying.

It's not specified by the sentence, but since visions are his power, he's likely talking about the unlimited bombs at that point.

I also think it refers to the unlimited bomb power. Everything else also does not make so much sense...

Wow, then you must be excellent in languages! I mean those videos seem not to contain common vocabulary... Smiley

That was a time. We've found one who was able to translate almost all waitsigns, only one is missing... could you please translate this last one?

The wait sign occurs at 18:35 ingame resp. 11:11 real video time. The effect is
3:35 Red Ring and Magic Sword gone; a whistle is heard upon entering overworld screens with a secret

I just saw a vision of the Dark Lord hunting for the ring and the sword.
He cannot be allowed to take possession of them.
Now, once again, I will use the (whisper/secret talk?) technique.
It should allow you to find your supporters wherever they are hidden.

Many thanks, the translation patch is finished and posted  Wink

May I ask you for another small favour? We have the video of the ending here

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rQk7YOom-Zs

We are very interested in the final speech which occurs between 5:05 and 5:40 in this video. There is no accurate translation required but briefly, because we are only curious what is told there. Could you please translate this as well? Many thanks in advance  Smiley
