On the subject of FF2j, there was definitely a v1.00 patch from Neo Demiforce, but of course only v1.03 is easily found.  I've only found one link for the original v1.00 (and several news posts from 1998), but they all refer to Neo Demiforce's original ISP-based website.  Long dead, and archive.org didn't have anything from it.  I'll check my personal archives and see if I happen to have anything other than v1.03 later this weekend.
I have v0.93, v1.00, and v1.03. Grin I'm not sure if there's anything older than v0.93 though. If you want, I'll make a patch of it and shoot it your way.

If you have 0.93 and 1.00, I'd like those very much. I'm personally only interested in the actual original patches, though, not patches created from a Goodset or somesuch. I have 1.03 (of course) and 1.02 already, and any old patches by other groups (like Toma, or that Multiple Demiforce patch(es?)) would be awesome.

You're welcome!  As for the 1.00/1.01 patch, I found them in astudent's public home directory, which on investigation happened to have the original IPS and documentation file.  I will PM this information to you directly.  It is the v1.00 patch and documentation.

Damn, man! You are an internet-searching monster. Hell, I should just post my entire patches-to-find list and see what you can make of it. Smiley Thanks for all your help.

So it shall be. I don't have any readme's for them (I don't recall if I ever had them to begin with, been too many years).

Hmmm, in that case it might be a problem. I do know for a fact I didn't get these from a goodset directly (I don't download those) but where I did get them from is now a mystery. I don't hang on to patches themselves for very long after they've been patched, so the original patches I downloaded are long gone. Undecided\

There was a v1.02? Can I get a copy of that?

Your 0.93 patch is 1.02, at least according to the titlescreen.

So if I have v1.00 and v1.02, that might explain v1.00 choking immediately when starting (and v0.93 or so I thought working). That little discrepency always did bother me. What really stumps me is how I didn't notice this at all for 4 years. Embarrassed

Well, I'm an idiot, at least we knew that already. Grin
