...I'm not sure I'd call that a VWF, what with the i and l spacings being off and all.

In any case it's a huge improvement over the original. I like it

Nice, finally some work on a rather obscure PSX rpg.
I hope your site is only temporarily down, Saito.

saito what game is that?

It's called "The Mystic Dragoons", it's a nice rpg with Amano's artwork.

Thank you very much for the comments, I'll try to work a litle more into it, because as said, there's still some things to fix  Cheesy

Ah yes, but is it operational everywhere else? Like the Tech menu?

Good work, though.

Yes.  It works in everything completely.  The battle was the most difficult part to do.  The rest was cake.

Excellent job on that expansion. I can see you had to be creative with the level tile, but given the constraints that turned out as best as it could. I'm actually looking forward to this one.

you may want to move the HP and MP over one to the right in battle, so the name doesn't bump up right against the HP. also, use two tiles for the "Lv" thing, as it looks a bit too squished for one. just leave some space on the left side of the two tiles and it should look great.

The HP and MP can probably be moved, but I've been having issues finding that.  It should be close by though.

We can't do 2 spaces before the "LV" tile because if you do that, the level will go off the edge of the box.

you have a space after the name, right? use that.

EDIT: to clarify, i am suggesting that you use both the space after the name and the current LV tile to express the "LV". 16 pixels wide should be enough to have an L, a V, and enough space on the left side to have the name not visually be directly against the "LV".

That space is there, there's no null data or anything for it.  If you try moving anything back, it knocks "LV" next to defense, or it completely removes attack/defense from the box.

HP/MP can be 3 characters though, so there wouldn't be any room left.

i'm talking about the menu shots, not the battle shot. hence the mention of "Lv" in the first place Tongue

I know what you mean, and it should work. I'm not sure how to put the idea in words correctly. Undecided\

Well I can post the data if you want me to of what it shows in hex.  If I remember correctly, if you try altering the data, it either:
1) Shows no space in between the names
2) There is space and if you go back, it all kinda looks jumbled.
3) The "LV" text gets bumped down, but the level itself stays in the same area
4) The "LV" text data, along with how much attack and defense they have is completely gone from the menu.

I've been trying to change this, but it doesn't quite work.  I'll try again tonight if possible.  But first I have to reget the IPS patch from my other desktop to work on later at home.

Edit: I might have to ask help a little bit later on if I decide to try giving other things in the menu a VWF routine.  I don't know if anyone COULD help with that, but it's worth a shot.
