Here's 2 sneak peeks for my Adventure Island 3 hack using Agave. More to come soon... Oh wow, that game brings back some memories. I think I rented that game like 10 times as a kid. Adventure Island rocks! Unfortunately I have to play the original now so I can see your changes Googie. Remember any place that look likes this?
Those are from Zero Mission, or Fusion perhaps? Looks really nifty.

I am interested in getting more people to hack super metroid. That way getting more super metroid hacks. Between: There are still some errors I do... Involving lining up the tiles right.

vine made from those "vertical balls" but i fixed the ASM so that it doesnt play the head bonk sound every time you climb up it, and also got it to use the green palette instead of the brown one. I need to make it so you can jump off the vine though instead of just fall off also recently messed with the background and floor a bit too I like how the pic came out frantik, the floor looks sweet. AlexAR: Thanks, I really recommend playing the original game. I just finish editing World 2, maybe if I have some free time this weekend I'll whip up a video using Nestopia or sumthin.

Another Goldeneye Silo mission update. I'm starting to wonder if I should start a thread for it in Personal Projects. Originally I had a rather pointless "disable security system" objective. If you failed to complete it before entering the first fuel room an alarm would go off and a swarm of guards would come after you for no apparent reason. Now there's a reason, if you don't complete that objective these lasers will be active and stepping through them will trigger that alarm. And no, originally Goldeneye did not have lasers like this, it's a rather simple setup. The emitters are the door opening buttons seen in the original Silo mission (I omitted them from my mission to save space), the beams are the video screens from Bunker and a few other levels set to an all red screen. Thanks again to Wreck and (I think) BMW for the concept. The mission should be ready for testing shortly. I was hoping to have it done this weekend but it might take me a bit longer than that.

These pics are from the same hack I did show maradia pics from before the old topic got nuked. And the part of crateria that was purple, is still purple. Here you are hanging, It do not look to hard to cross over. But wait... there is bottom less pit under. One mistake and you are dead. Another color for that tile set? How many do I have? You don't need to know. What you do need to know is that you get grapple beam early and you need it a lot.

Ugh, that really goes against Metroid's style, at least line the floor with spikes or something. Bottomless pits do not belong in Metroid. Your screenshots are really nice, I just urge you to reconsider that area.

There wont really be that many off them. And, I really like the feel you get when grappling over nothing.

what happens when you fall? does she just die? I mean there has never been anything like this in the game before so I don't understand what it would do, normally the camera follows samus and you don't get damaged from falling. Just wondering.

oh it is simple. Scroll areas are made of squares like the map. The Scroll area under the pit do not have any scroll. And there are spikes there and a one way fall in so you can't get back up. Thats why I am having things like this early since stuck in a pit like this later in the game sucks since then it takes for ever to die. Now you die in 1-3 hits. And you most likely won't come back here since there is no extra item just a boss.

Here's a hack that I've been working on since last night, I'm having a couple of palette issues right now and I gotta add a few more graphics. Lesse where this hack goes, the title of this hack is called "Blood Bros." and for those who don't know the original game, it's called Lode Runner...

I'll bet the SRAM tweaking to get that to work wasn't fun. Good work, DMM.
