Ohrite cool. Thanks Me_Dave and xdaniel. I'm going to go off and do some serious research on it. I am serious about hacking and i guess i do need to understand the concepts better. I'll see how far I can get with the learning of hacking and the actual hacking of Pokemon green. Thanks to everyone for all your help

Someone did a very good "translation" of Green by copying its data into the English Blue ROM, you couldn't tell the difference between it and an actual translation of the Japanese ROM. Unfortunately I no longer have it, have no idea who made it (They released it at Acmlm's years ago), and it's not archived on this site. Edit: Of course, it would've been even better if they copied the Japanese Blue's data into the English Blue ROM, since that's the one that has differences to the US version. I've never really understood why there's any interest in a translation of Green when it's the same as our Blue sans some graphical differences... In actuality, the US got JP Blue split into two versions, whereas JP R/G were never released across the pond. If you compare the versions, JP R/G had different overworld and Pokemon graphics from the other games, while JP Blue has the same graphics as our R/B. There are other things too, such as the intro (R/B title screen and intro sound effects are the same as JP Blue's, not R/G). The most significant proof is the trade on Cinnabar Island, where the man says "Your RAICHU went and evolved!" This text string is called by a one-byte value in the data for trade Pokemon ("Raichu" is an in-text variable). In JP Blue, the equivalent trade was a Kadabra. On the subject of making tables, relative searching works well for English games. In Japanese games, I generally go to a name-select screen, choose specific letters, and make a RAM dump, then do it again and compare the differences. There are probably better ways, but I don't have any Japanese-specific tools and am too lazy to look. One thing, though... is relative searching as feasible in Japanese games as in English? I've only made a table file for one Japanese game (Keitai Denjuu Telefang), and it reused he and ri rather than having one of each in both kana tables (since they look alike). Is that normal?

Well I don't know why I'm doing this, but pokemon green made me do it, I found that pre-made table I was talking about, but it want help you still no readable text, I found this that might help, tho it's for pokemon red, and blue, it should be close to the same.

Well not really I am a work in progress, and I stole the locations from one of our hacking elite's, other than that you should always capitalize the letter I, sorry for saying this, but someone had to tell ya, and it might as well be me as I have had this problem myself, later.

And periods are your friend. Quit making the comma pick up the slack.

Yeah sorry I got took out of English class in the 6 grade, because of my lack of understanding of the Shirley method. So I have to relearn it now, spelling has never been a problem for me tho. However proper English, or grammer has, and still is a problem that I am trying to overcome, mostly I have trouble with punctuation.
I have a book somewhere on writing, and such I will look for it, and read up on it to refresh my self on the subject. So I want look so dumb. Thanks for correcting me tho I don't notice these things myself.

Yeah. No Pokemon game outside Japan got the map tile graphics, Pokemon front pics, or Unknown Dungeon layout from Red/Green.
In addition... There's another discovery I made. Surfing on the coastline of Cinnabar or Seafoam in an actual Green cartridge (which I own) produces NO wild Pokemon encounters whatsoever. Therefore, this method of items duplication and finding Missingno does not work.
