The crash I remember filled the screen with garbage. In fact, that the first thing that was brought to me attention when I was presented with the work. I remember trying to track down what was causing it. That's when I looked at the assembly hacks for the game in detail.  Not long after that I discovered all the other work that needed to be done and no longer wanted anything to do with that project.

I don't want to discourage anybody, but it's going to take some effort to finish that project. Don't just think you can grab the work, spend an hour or two and surprise, completed translation. It was never finished for good reasons. Wink

Yeah, you definitely are correct. I rmember a few Event bugs and some dialogue
problems. Text alignment in the 4 choice menus and things like that. BUt I believe
with enough time it can be done. Smiley I knew of a lot of those bugs too.
The problem for me is this. I will want to re-do a lot of the things in the game.
ASM stuff to be exact. I will sift through the goodies and see what I can come up with. Smiley

I wouldn't touch that with a 40 foot pole.

He actually gave me the 40 foot pole. But no one seems interested
in the game. So I never did anything with it. After he asked me to add
a compression routine to the game I never heard another word about it.
