hi I'm fluent in english and japanese and i would like to start translating ROMs. but while i was reading the tutorials on this site i noticed ALL the required programs were for windows or DOS. so can anyone tell me if there are programs like "search relative" or "thingy" for mac OS X?

any help would be much appreciated  Grin

I suggest letting someone else do that hacking for you and translate the script. It can work MUCH faster that way. Also note innocent sins hackers are translatorless Tongue. Sorry I want that SO BAD.

Just taking a short look at it, DOSBox apparently emulates DOS. So download the version for an Apple OS, and run it.

I got a Macbook Pro recently, and I must say that I love the OS.  With that said though, I was surprised that there are still so many popular programs out there that don't have a mac build.  I ended up downloading and installing bootcamp just so I could still use many of the programs that I love.  Check it out! http://www.apple.com/macosx/bootcamp/

Macbook Pro's FTW, I got mine in the second week of march, I hate the shipping hassle you have to go through to get a customized one though Cry

due to apple's horrific advertising with its laughable claims, i am completely against buying mac computers. i essentially find it to be inferior product for an extremely high price.

Macs are great for things such as video editing, doing your taxs, and simplisity. But other wise they are weaksauce.
Basicly they are non-upgradable, thus you have to buy a whole new one next time you want an upgrade and Shit for video games.
Those two aspects right there make me detest them.

Hence the reason why I recommend installing windows via bootcamp  Roll Eyes

Only works on Intel Macs, many are still running PPCs.

Then people should buy a new one! ... Tongue
I must agree though.  I would never ever have bought a Mac that did not have an intel chip.  I have looked around at the games available for Mac, and was saddened with the shear scarcity of titles.

On the plus side, Macs don't seem to get afflicted with viruses! Tongue
