Hi Ryan ,

I think that is called synchronicity  Wink  it's been happening to me a few times recently .

Yeah there is a game genie code for infinite forward weapons on RRR ,I do notice though that when you buy a new car you lose the infinite firepower...

I do hack the actual rom ,I have not hacked save states,is that just the altering of graphics?? do you do any hacking of the RRR rom or save states yourself ? If you do then that would make you the only other person I've ever heard of who has done anything with RRR  ...perhaps apart from this mario rrr.And a mod here who helped me with a tip on where to find certain data in the rom,think it was Nightcrawler.Can we have a shout out for Nightcrawler! Tongue 

Ryan ,It would be good if we could work together on something to do with RRR ..I want to look into the possibility of making the game 3,4 player ,but perhaps that is pie in the sky.

I haven't done anything to it yet but might have a look over the week.

I think adding 3rd n 4th players is going to be a big job, far beyond my ability.

Savestate hacking isn't really graphics although I guesss you could edit the graphics there if you wanted. You can make a savestate in any emulator which saves some game information so that you can load it in again at a later time so if you change that then the changes are shown in the game when you load the savestate. Hacking savestates is easier than rom hacking since you can compare files to see where changes occur.

So for Rock n Roll Racing I'd probably make a savestate before buying your first car and then one just afterwards and then compare the files to see where changes occur for your money. Then once thats known change the figure to give you loads of cash and then use that to buy rockets and make a savestart before and after to see where the changes occur and then edited it to give heaps of rockets and repeat that for other things like armour and so forth.

Although since the game genie codes are there it's not really need you can just use them to find the address in the ROM and edit that perminatlly.

Hi Ryan ,

I'll definately try hacking save states. If you want to play RnRR sometime I'll be happy to race you on zbattle ,and we could also test out some hacks.

I have a lot of reading up to do first before I even start seriously asking questions about a possible 4 player version of any game. But I figure that if it was relatively easy to do someone would already have thought of it and done it ,so the outlook isn't too bright.
