Try comparing for differences between those three files, see if there's any common data that could represent a header, or any repeating values that might help you make a table file.

I could tell you from looking at that hex that it's probably not compressed. Way too many repeats in there. I asked you to post the file somewhere like rapidshare so I could take a look at it but apparently you want someone to help you with the compression by buying or downloading the game first.

It does have a standard lzo library for decrypting elf files i think. I could be wrong about that though.

Just a note, I would try hex searching the entire .iso of the game. Then, it doesnt matter what file the text is stored in. Also make sure you search for Ex: "Sword" and "S?w?o?r?d". This is how I found the text in PSP Brave Story.

Your text isn't in those files...They aren't compressed either... I think that these could be the pointers.

Use hex workshop. Do you think the hex editor is really going to put a 3GB file into memory. It just uses a window. It reads new parts of the file when you scroll...

For my PSP game I use "WindHex" (Not WinHex) It seems to be doing well enough for my needs currently and has full table support, relative search, and even a Kana Keypad for searching Kana. It was made for SNES translating and is the best i've found. Google it. (Well actually I googled it for you http://www.romhacks.net/tools/WindHex.zip) It was actually a little hard to find! Trust me tho its great, if you cant find any Kana, try turning 'Option' 'View text as Unicode' ON. Hope this helps. - WiZARD83

Good lord... I'm amazed at how many people seem to have no idea this site has documents and utilities.
It does not compute.
It does not comprehend.
Logic failure.
