Hmm, okay. Any idea on how to get a table working for that, though? o.O

For what? The format the font's in has little, if any bearing, on the table.

Would switching the BPP format help with THAT? >.<
No, it won't. You need a custom utility for dumping and reinserting CT's font. Not even feidian can dump it properly.

So in other words, the BSCT thing is NOT a good idea for a early project, eh?

Well, maybe I'll get the other ones working. =D

Plus, I have another question about the MQ. I looked at every version I had of it (US, Europe, J) and the text SEEMs to be compressed, I'm not sure. The only graphics editor that found anything remotely looking like a font was YY-CHR. Here's a picture:

Any help in any of these would be greatly appreciated! =D

I dunno about the font, but the text itself uses a large amount of DTE. Smiley

Nice Avatar, Kitsune.

Being a newbie, DTE (Dual Tile Encoding?). Is that where instead of say, 01=A, it could be something like 01=[name]?

I made a table for Mystic Quest Legend, and I noticed that it does have alot of instances where a hex value will mean more than just one character. Dealing with that in JAPANESE however, would hurt my head.

Plus, eh, I checked the tiles out in many different formats, and it didn't exactly help. Anyone know what I can do to figure out the font for at least the Mystic Quest? >.<

DTE = one table value displays two letters. For example, 00=Ah, 01=Eh, and so on. MTE is the same, except it's more than two. Smiley

Ah, so in this case, Mystic Quest uses DTE. Gotchya. Chrono Trigger uses something similar to MTE, then.

Any idea how I can get to the font in the japanese Mystic Quest? I could probably make the table pretty easily, it being an RPG and all, but it would be nice to throw in an English font, eventually.
