I think he is limitedl by tile amount. The eternal filena one looks really great. I say you stick with that but maybe just lighten it up a bit.

Satsu, should i be worried about tile space?

except i have to make sure that those lightened colors are in the games Pallete, wich is why it can be a headache. What i could do is push the darkest colour of the image, and make the rest cover more room.

Maegra, I did a quick attempt to show how you maybe able to keep the original all caps letters. I made the letters the same height as the kanjii characters and tried to make them roughly the same width as well.

will do, thanks turtle, but if it turns out it needs to be a certain size for the tiles ( wich shouldn't be to bad, because you made them the same size as the Kanjis'.)

So hows this for my first succesful attempt at a title? was thinking about starting on other titles for games not quite done yet.

I don't see a problem with working on Title Screens for games that aren't fully translated yet, but I think I should ask the Tranlation Group.  yes/no?  [_]

anyways heres an attempt at removing the Kanji from Rapurasu no Mas title screen:

So i guess now the question is:
What sort of text would be good for this? Chiller sounds like it might work.
                                     Demon
                                         of
                                     LaPlace

I'll make a quick mockup.

I think your most recent one is fine in terms of color (blends nicely with the background). I believe DaMarsMan was talking about this one , but I am not sure as they all say eternal filena Huh

yea, but that ones already been shot down, and i'm not working on that design because Satsu didn't like it.

anyways i seem to have forgotten to post this:

looks like i need to get rid of the darker green on the curl of the F, and the backgroud also makes it look as if sunlight is filtering through water, so maybe make it lighter the closer it is to the streaming light? hmm... much work much work...

Yeah, I was talking about that one. I think it's perfect. I don't like this blocky font mixed with the cursive. If satsu doesn't like it then it doesn't really matter. Not like I'm going to sit and stare at the thing anyways. As long as the game is in english is the most important part.

Space is a bridge we can burn when we get to it.
Can you give me layered versions of and ? Just had an idea and would like to tinker with it a bit. Thank you again, you're doing a great job. (Also the Lapras' Demon thing is really good.)

is okay, but I think the ETERNAL is a bit thick and looks off-centre. (Can I get this layered too?)

Anyway, I'm open to you messing around with whatever ideas you have as well, so please feel free to experiment as you like.

Yo probably want to move "The" down a few pixels in Laplace's demon so that a strip of gold covers the top of it. It will help the eyes pick it up a little easier.

And "Laplace" doesn't have any internal capitalization.

@Satsu    Grin :'(   Well you see I'm a noob when it comes to anything to do with Romhacking, besides applying IPS patches.   Layers? ='[

@DaMarsMan&Ryuisi    That was a mockup for me to see just what chiller font might look like. IMO it doesn't have that same etched in blood look the kanji has. might have to make a custom font =\\

It's not a ROM hacking term, it's an image editing term. What are you making these title screens in? O_o
Basically, software like Photoshop or Paintshop Pro will let you make an image with layers, much like laying transparent sheets on top of each other. You can then use these for various effects, for example having a background on one layer and text on another layer so that you can easily move the text around while editing without affecting the background.

I think you should go with a bit lighter and smaller letters for eternal. This way they just look too dark and too big in my opinion. The Filena could need a bit more of contrast, though I'm not an expert Smiley

oh oh oh ok, wasn't thinking about it as an image editing term, k i understand, any preference to file type?
=\\ hmm seems i need to find my Photoshop CDs.

well i wrote my CD-key down wrong, so i don't have Photoshop, so...  Turtle >.>  =] if you would be so kind as to make Layered versions, if you do use this version:

Just get PSP7. It can be de-installed, then installed again to reset the "day counter" of the main program. Smiley For the included Animation Shop you just need to drag'n'drop a directory containing image(s) onto the .EXE, and it'll open the file brwoser & won't exit.

How is this arrangement?

For layered versions, PSD or PSP is fine. Alternatively, GIF or PNG that I can easily make into a layered image (ie. no background) is okay.
