There is a official Suzumiya Haruhi game in japan that uses the phoenix wright game engine.The game is made by Cubetype and will never be released outside of Japan because there are no plan to release the anime in the states,anyway I was wondering if anyone would like to help me translate this game.It's for the PC. the installer is only 95MB so it won't take up lots of hardrive space if your intrested PM me. Damn, I love Phoenix Wright  I don't know the Anime though (although it's on my Ani-DB wishlist for quite some time now), but the game looks interesting. I'll see if I can get it and take a look at it. Don't get your hopes too high up though, up to now I haven't made positive encounters with PC hacking. If I things go well count me in. |

I don't like how I can't auto scroll the text(the majority of my PS2 visual novels have this feature). Also, it doesn't let me scroll the text using my PS1(USB) controller.

DragonmasterX can you help me? whenever I try to play the game I click the first option.Then it starts and then I get a massage saying noval system and some japanese error massage then it shuts down.

You have to run the game either with applocale or with your OS's regional setting set to Japanese. |

It looks like I can handle the hacking myself just fine. With the help of Gemini I've figured out the games data storage format and I'm writing an extraction tool for it currently. So, translation help is especially what's needed when I'm done.
Edit: And image editing too, yeah.

We have just dumped all of game's data using an extractor built by Kaioshin with the help of Gemini.I have uploaded the graphics they are in PNG format and there are 33 that need editing.The good news is that the English translation is given in the file name i.e name_haruhi. There are a few a few Phoenix wright style objections to edit as well.I not saying anyone has to do any work I just uploaded the files so people could take a look, and help if they feel like it  . So, my guess is then that you know what all of those graphics mean.
The only ones that might be hard are:
mag = magnify. (: o)
tojiru = close
tsuki = object
kiroku = court record
igi = objection
kurae should be 'take that'
matta should be 'hold it'
inquiry 0 should be testimony, 1 should be cross-examination
And the title screen just says "Haruhi's Comeback/Turnabout", once in kanji and once phonetically.
Everything else, the meanings are already written in the filename.

Of course, the obvious way to translate it might be "Haruhi Suzumiya: Ace Attorney" or "Haruhi Suzumiya: Justice for All". |
