I was going to get a little patch out for an SNES puzzle game Magic Poipoi Poitto.
Haven't had much time to ROM hack during the school semester. So now I realize my compressor's kinda broke (strangely, just the "even" bytes seem to be off between a savestate and my uncompressed tileset made with feidian). Once I get that fixed, then I just have to translate the graphics, compress, patch, release (I kinda suck at the game, so I'm probably going to have to insert the credits, not sure if there's any other text besides the menu and "attract mode" tutorial).

I also need to get back to finishing 3x3 Eyes Advent of the Divine Demon, too.

I was planning to get my patch for Sylvanian Melodies out before Christmas. Nearly did, dammit, but adding extra credits to the ending is a chore. Meaning, I can't quite get a handle on doing it at all.

If anyone can help - details are in my topic - I'd really appreciate it.

you were? when it's gonna be released now? I'm semi-keeping track of it for a friend of mine who is a major SPC fan.

I don't know.

But I will say this: I'll release it before Bush gets impeached.

Sounds like a good idea. I hear that Saban didn't go for a literal translation either. As in he didn't even attempt to translate what was being said, but they made up their own storyline to match with the animation.

The guy you can thank/blame for that is Tony Oliver, who is still very much active in the industry: he's responsible for the ADR script of one of the worst English dubs in human history, that of Overman King Gainer, but surprisingly he turned around and did some top-notch work on Gankutsuou and New Getter Robo. Hmm. Maybe he just hates Bandai?

I think the people who sold the rights for dubbing are also to thank/blame. They didn't provide transcripts like they should of.

I doubt I would of liked the show as much tho if it had been done differently. The show as it is had me waking up early as heck to watch it. And as a kid I hated waking up early.

According to Wikipedia, Bobobo-bo-bobo and Samurai Pizza Cats don't have word for word literal translations because those shows are humorous- to a Japanese audience. So what was done was that they changed to script around to make funny for non-Japanese, American viewers.

I so loved Samurai Pizza Cats! Cheesy
