Verifications what the hell is that. There is what are called bad dumps out there ex-specially for the nes Like dragon warrior 4 512kb bad dump.nes,
That same bad dump was the only working version of dragon warrior 4 that i could find for many years, And that's the one that all my save states go to and if you think i am going to start over because some program, That i don't even want to know Say's that it should be deleted because it's a bad dump your crazy. I say it's a good dump as maybe many others that have been deemed bad by this goodnes program or what ever.

I thought the 1 MB ROM of DQ4/DW4 was the bad dump? (as in, Nesticle added support for the 1MB ROM, thinking it was good. But then Nesticle stopped updating, and then it was discovered 512KB was the correct size. Same with DQ1 and 2. Only ROMs I could get working with Nesticle ran slowly (and DQ1 was slow to begin with. ) and lacked sound.

ok I took a few days rather than a few minutes but I have gotten the good tool versions of Mario Bros 3, I've gotten the no-intro ones, I've gotten other ones too from multiple locations and none of them work with the patches I got here for SMB3 hacks, the ones for the other games work but not these. I figure there is one obscure rom that everyone has used for a long time and it isn't a "goodtool" one so it's harder to find because that's the system a lot of rom places swear by. Again, I'm not asking for a rom link but maybe a rom filename for SMB3

What exactly are these intros (monkey-intro etc.)? I don't think I've seen one before.

A monkey from SMW2 is on a checkered screen. Then there's a few messages and it lasts about 2 minutes. You cannot skip it. Afterwards the game finally goes to the real title screen. It's extremely obnoxious and needs to die in the worst way possible.

Oh so it's something the person who dumped the ROM added? That is annoying.. reminds me of when my friend accidentally bought a bootlegged Yoshi's Island for GBA on Ebay. It had an intro that was like "fuck the government" and stuff.

I've been adding intros to my SNES translations lately, but they tend to be maybe six seconds of "Aeon Genesis" plus logo in white on a black screen. I try to make them look like they were intended to be a part of the game.

That wouldn't be annoying, but a 2 minute intro is just ridiculous.

It's not ridiculous. It's just them showing off their forty foot long e-Penis.

My entire personal mark on SF1 (apart from my writing style ^_^) is a single credits screen displayed after the Epoch logo in the introduction and about 30 seconds' worth of additional credits in the ending sandwiched between "Copyright 1999 Epoch" and "The End" (on a side note, you really should play my translation through to the end...you might be surprised by what you see ^_^).
I agree with Gideon Zhi's take on intros...I want to add a Watercrown screen after the Epoch and Natsume logos in Sylvanian Melodies, plus a few extra credits (again, it's a surprise). I've encountered a few of the more annoying intros myself...nasty stuff.

The FF6 Hack has an intro, you can see a preview of it in my signature.

At least, provide a CRC32/SHA or whatever. It's ok if you don't want to use X ROMset (even though no-intro is the best one out there).
I don't care (and no one should) about intros in hacked ROMs, it's on the originals when they are so damn annoying.
That's why No-Intro does what it does, it's all about having the most closer dump to the original.
