Which is funny because I HAVE ADDED THE CRC DATA TO THE READMES and the idiot still adds the badly patched games.
Way to blame others for your stupidity.
You mean the stupidity of others. The tool is designed to recognize what you have. So when somebody badly patches the rom, goodxxx renames it accordingly and now it can be deleted since the user can see he patched the rom incorrectly.

Why is it that every time I read any comments from Cowering, it makes me despise him more than I did before? There aren't that many people that I would go out of my way to say something negative about, but he is one of them. He really comes off like an ass in things he says not to mention he is truly rude and disrespectful when trying to deal with him on a intelligent personal level. I love how he pulls out this at the end: They would not even HAVE ROMS to translate without people like me spending huge $$$ to save carts before they rot away. You are wealthier than most and bought alot of carts, congratulations. That doesn't give you any right to treat people with rudeness, disrespect and a superiority complex.

He can be quite rude . He needs to take lessons in common courtesy.

I think both sides are have valid points. Goodstools are designed to recognize what you have, and not to be a vehicle of distribution. Oh. My. God. Dude, can I quote you on that? That is one awesome freaking typo! </juvenile>

Is the guy who made GoodSNES the same guy who made GoodGB? Because if he is, then I have a bone to pick with him. One the approximate size of, say...Sylvanian Families 3.

Yes. He's responsible for all GoodXXXX tools.

I can see a need for identifying bad dumps to allow you to get rid of them. Honestly, it's not really Cowering's fault that there are morons that "collect" all the bad dumps and compile "complete" sets that include them all and post them pretty much everywhere from IRC to Newsgroups, P2P apps and FTP servers, leading others to join the so-called "PokeROMs" craze.

I collect them all, but only because I don't know which of the bad ones are actually GOOD dumps. So if one of the bad ones gets identified as a good one, I just set it aside and tag it on my own.

Yes, to be fair, the problems associated with GoodTools are not ALL Cowering's fault. However, it is definitely a choice and he is directly responsible for such actions such as refusing to remove translations at an author's request.

One day I do need to prune my GoodSets down to the actual good dumps. That, however, will take effort that I find much more amusing directed elsewhere. But, really, who needs forty-seven copies of Final Fantasy?

There's an option in the CFG that lets you exclude certain roms. s, [a]s, and [h]s. I scan my roms, keep the "good" ones and burn the bad ones to DVDR.

My problem is that in the GoodSets I downloaded there are some good [h]s and - s and some bad "normal" roms. I'm kind of wondering what the hell happened there. Usually I run my ROMs through multiple emulators when I find a bad one just to make sure that it's not the emulator. It's annoying, though.
