Hmmm.. this appears to be a forum bug. Has this just started happening recently? I'll see if I can find information on this over at the SMF forums.

Just noticed this myself.  It doesn't seem to be limited to the "Mark all read" button, as I actually read the latest posts in both threads that were showing new posts here.  The list of messages within this sub-forum updated properly, but the main sub-forums list is still showing the unread icon for me now for the Translation Hacking sub-forum.

For some reason I see that Myria's last post is from "Today at 08:33:04 PM" then the next post is "Today at 01:48:16 PM"

Yep, that might have something to do with it... I'm seeing Myria's post on the last page as: « Reply #12 on: Today at 15:33:04 ».

Followed by RedComet's post as: « Reply #13 on: Today at 08:48:16 ».

Freaking time-travelers posting from the future.  Tongue

It's true. I own a time machine. Now if only I could get 1.21 jigowatts to go through the flux capacitor right...

Good detective work gentlemen. I have no idea why that happened, but two of Myria's posts were from the future. Wink

I went into the database and edited them and then went back and edited the board section data for the latest post in the section and that fixed the problem.

Let's hope Myria's account doesn't do that again when he comes back online or I'll have to delete it or something. I checked the database, no others posts were labeled with this future date. Odd indeed.

Didn't Myria sign up after you upgraded the board software?

It's probably a bug in the forum's timezone handling.

Not really the point of this topic...

I haven't touched ROM hacking in years other than a 3 week thing in late 2004 where I made this:

Hmm, well that's too bad. Nice of you to stop by, however. Most of the older veterans just vanish for good, it seems.

Ryusui why do you put in *almost* every post some of the things of your like a vwf or the cheat?
btw yeah i like VWF Smiley

I'm just happy he stopped talking about Sylvanian Families.

But seriously, I've come across others who are as repetitive, although I'm unaware of any official psychological classifications for this behavior. ADD doesn't sound like a very good guess, he's definitely got plenty of attention focused on his projects.

ADD just means your mind is always racing and you have trouble paying attention to stuff because of it. I have it, so I Know. >.>

Of course, there's no reason to finish it now, since it seems Square is doing the translation right this time.

It's too bad you decided not to go through with this, Miss Myria. I'd have a reason to keep my SNES roms. But, meh, looks like they're being FLUSHED down the toilet when FF6A comes out... *sigh*

amazing to think it was that long ago, huh. ah well, too bad you didn't finish up the FF5 improvement there, though. it looks rather nice. though maybe you're taking the use of FF6's terminology a bit too far (skean?)...
