SMB2 hack trailer

Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle hack trailer

Solomon's Key hack trailer

Lolo2 hack trailer

The only hacks I'm poking at are my SMB2 hack & Lolo2 hack, and I hope Motiono videos count... ^^'

I havent seen anyone hacking a SMB2USA game for a long time. These graphics are kinda nice also.

Comparing to those other SMB2USA hacks I think this might be the next best one.

So far, only Strange Bros. 2 is the best SMB2USA hack than the other ones. I'm expecting a full version of it.

Yes, these graphics are all custom made
I'll try to add some more attacks for the strawberry, because it's still to easy to beat.
Yeah, and you should give it a few "dots" aswell cause right now it looks awfully much like a tomato. But overall, awesome stuff!

Your bosses look really nice, and it's impressive that you've managed to completely make new bosses, but they seem like they'd be fairly easy to beat. Any chance of ramping up the difficulty of the bosses?

hmm this is confusing me, there are a lot people telling me that my bosses are too hard but there're also many who tell me that they're too easy. Also, the recent enemy is planned to be the boss in the first castle, so I can't make it too hard.

I just made a quick level for testing, in the end it will of course contain the boss music.

Doesn't that mean you've got it just right then? Wink

It doesn't look easy to me... but you used not many objects or new graphics, so it looks a bit empty.

(This may be ok though since SMB was a launch game.)

boss in the first castle

In that case, I think the difficulty level seems about perfect. Wink

ghettoyouth: Another cool boss, however you seem to be violating one of the key design rules of video games:
Collision detection should always be done in the player's favor.
The main character did not get what (appeared to be) close enough to those hearts to cause damage, yet they do (presumably because the actual object is larger than the heart graphics?). There is a frustratingly large distance there.

Just my two cents, and keep up the damn fine work

Good point. I noticed that as well, but wasn't sure if it was just my tired eyes. It does appear like the heart is using a bigger collision detection box than the actual graphic is by a significant margin. I'd speculate it's just a matter of changing some coordinate or size values if you can find where they are, but I've never looked at the collision detection in this game.

My first video on any kind of video posting site, so don't hate b/c of the bad quality. I haven't figured out how to get my video files small as well as have high quality yet Sad. The video showcases some small ASM hacks I've been working on recently. Some are slightly incomplete (one needs sound effects and a few modifications)
